Shouldn't have any impact on the decision that has to be done. If he feels that way the at least he's a sellable asset that we can reinvest from. Reckon it would be his agent using it as an excuse to get a move, as it's time for Son to take the next step. We're still a stepping stone club, if you stay too long you'll end up a loser. Something it's time to make a change about.

Players will have to get over it. You can't sulk any time your club changes manager, that's pathetic.

Frankly, if Son or anyone else wants to kick up a fuss about a new manager without giving him a chance, after the performances they've delivered this season...good luck.

Actually wouldn't surprise me. Remember Son considered leaving after his first season when he was more out of the team than in, and struggled to adjust to life in England. But Poch convinced him to stay and he would become a big player and that has become true. I think while there are some snakes in the squad, Son is one of the players who committed to Spurs because they committed to Poch. Maybe offers from big clubs may turn their heads with Poch gone.

I think more players will stay than go with [a respectable] new manager in, and a corresponding change in form (let's hope). I don't think it'll be public for some time just how much of the dressing room Poch lost in the last half year. There's no other for some of these massive drop-offs in form all at once.

Also, that shouldn't read as if I mean Poch is not respectable. I just mean if we appoint a Mourinho, Benitez, Allegri, etc - someone with pedigree - as opposed to an up and coming manager from a smaller club, like Eddie Howe.

This is just a laughable rumour story. There are so many moving parts here.

i) Son may actually like Jose & doesnt mind staying.
ii) Wherever Poch goes, his new club may not buy Son. Son could well be 100m+ in this market. Even Bayern wont spend that much, if Poch goes there

Jose has 6 months to convince his squad. Our squad doesnt have moaners like Mourinho had in United. So, I believe they will take to him and want to learn from him.

I seriously hope that the Son and Mourinho thing works, as if it doesn’t I won’t hear the end of it from my wife, she’s already thrown a strop about Poch leaving last night, if her favourite player Son gets unhappy and leaves things will go nuclear ?

If the thing about top player(s) feeling that the club couldn't be fixed under Poch is true, it's highly likely that Son was privy to, if not directly involved in, conversations with those player(s). They will have known his position and presumably - as he seems like a great guy to have around a team - taken it into consideration.

With all of that in mind, I think the "Son to leave" story was probably just shit-stirring rumour mill journalism exploiting the profitable Poch narrative. I'd imagine the reality is that he's saddened on a personal level - as most of them will be, even those intimately involved - but fine with it professionally. He probably wasn't fine with finishing in the bottom half of the table.
