Definitely shouldn't sell him... I wouldn't judge most of the attacking players too heavily during this period if I'm honest. For whatever reason, the way we set out and with just our current state as a team, we're really not functioning and it's not easy for players to shine in a team that is barely functioning.

Stick Son in the United or Chelsea front three and we'd be seeing a different player IMO.

Why? Every player has to be sold at some point.

He's been poor for a while and I've criticised him for not putting enough of a shift in. But I've started to feel like he's a victim of Mourinho's lop sided full back system. Davies never makes overlapping runs in the attacking third to help create space and play balls for him so he's basically just marked out of the game by the right back and midfielder with no service.

Lucas gets space on the other side because Aurier bombs forward and stretches the defence. But both Lucas and Aurier have poor delivery. We need to let Davies, or whoever is playing at left back, attack like a normal left back, otherwise we're gonna see an impotent Son for the rest of the season. Unless we try him on the right instead, but that leaves Bergwijn facing the same problem.

Sell Son......:ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO::LOL:

We have some West Ham moles here I think. That's the only reason I can think of for this insane idea.

Some fans want us to sell Son
Some fans want us to sell Kane

Some fans want us not to have a football club it seems.

I think with a DM who can sit in and allow the full backs to push on we can be more progressive. I do agree with all that you say.

Depends on your reason for selling.

We have a full squad and need to sell to buy.

It is easier to sell players up than down.

Moura has a reasonable reputation and is at a good age to sell so we might get most of our money back for him.

If we don’t Son next summer when he is 29 then we are no longer in a position to sell him for any real fee.

I am not saying we must sell him now but every player has to go at some point.

Yeah true. I didn't realise it was you who suggested it, I normally agree with you on things.

I'm really not a fan of Moura tbh. I would have him and 3 or 4 others in the selling bin before Sonny. Unless we got silly money (I'm talking £150m+) that would be all be invested back into the team it's a no from me.

I am not really a Moura fan either. Thinks he’s very limited.

In a perfect world I absolutely wouldn’t sell Son. But we have to look who will be interested in our players. It’s easier to sell players up than down.

Moura has a reasonable reputation and we could likely sell him and recoup most of our money. Aurier is rated in France so is another who will likely attract interest from good clubs.

But if a club like Juventus came in for Son then I think we should consider it. In two seasons his value will likely plummet once he has hit 30.

I think bottom line for me is that we need to give Jose what he wants in terms the group as a whole. For example, he may agree to sell Son if it meant being able to spend on a DM and 2 new fullbacks as both Bergwijn and Sessegnon can play there (If Sess ever gets a run!)

Personally I'd rather we sold Moura, Aurier, Sissoko, Winks (much as I want him to stay if at all possible), and Lamela (ditto. Love him), before Son. I get where you are coming from though. There may not be any clubs coming in for those players.

At times it seems we need virtually a whole new team, but then Kane, Son, Bergwijn, Lo Celso, Ndombele, Dier, Sanchez and Lloris make a pretty good core. Strengthening the defensive positions while trimming the squad is my hope.

If sonaldo can give the goal output of what Ronaldo did at the age of 30,31,32,33; then there's no point of selling him. With the fitness level, I think sonaldo can play atleast 8 more seasons at the very top level ...

Baffles me that some fans still don’t understand the old axiom of form being temporary and class being permanent.

No, Son isn’t at his best. He’s just come back from injury, and like a lot of other players after not playing for a few months, looks a bit rusty.

Wondering if Son has his eye on a move elsewhere?
He doesn't quite seem himself lately.
I don't think he'll be massively enjoying Jose's football but no doubt the form he's been in the past few seasons he'll have been contacted by the Real Madrids and Bayerns etc and may now be starting to get his head turned, this is all an assumption, he might just be a bit off form but one to keep an eye on.
Hope he can find is form again as he's near world class when he is on fire.

KDB showed that class is permanent, he came back 1st game and was immediately the best player in the league again.

He's also always been a streaky player. But so is basically every winger in the world.
