Why this fucking obsession with a direct ‘Eriksen replacement’? We dealt with that in summer with the signings of LoCelso/NDombele - both creative technical players negating the need for a single number 10/playmaker.

with Son/Moura our only pacey wide options this makes so much more sense than someone like Fernandes, who is being touted as an Eriksen replacement.

With Gedson and now this chap, the Daily Mail would seem to have the jump on our transfers this window.

Yep - also, the flaws of Son and Lucas are that both are very 'head down' players. Neither have particularly good vision of passing range. Bergwijn is much more in the creative winger mould but also has the pace to play on the counter. Definitely an upgrade on Lucas in taht sense.

Really want home. Has explosive pace. Could be our Mane.

The need for another fast and skilled forward has been way underrated by many here. I can’t speak much to this particular player (he’s looked pretty good the few times I’ve seen him - fast, skilled, and strong), but if he’s someone our scouts have had their eye on and is available for a reasonable price, I think it would be a really good signing.

Yup. As good as we could realistically hope for IMO.

Would be great but if he’s available I assume others will try

As long as he's at least twice as good as the last Dutch winger that Jose Mourinho signed from PSV Eindhoven, I'm okay with this deal if we can get it done cheaply.

Robben?

Edit: Ahhhh Depay. Wasn't it?

Depay was signed by LVG. If you meant Robben he'd probably be the greatest player ever if he's twice as good

Plays a bit like Mane. We really are trying to build a squad of great young talent, next season will be exciting
