I think that Ndombele will not start/play against Sheffield but will probably start one of the next 5 games as they are all in a pretty tight window. If he doesn't play in any of those games then something is definitely wrong

He's a bit like Yoda in the fight against Dooku... waddles into the room like an old-age pensioner and then when it's time for action, bursts into life like a catherine wheel.
The more I watch of the highlight vid, the more I can see him playing as a 10 (or the most attacking of a midfield 3).
His passing is what the team needs most, his dribbling and turning under pressure would be valuable higher up the pitch.
But with three attackers bursting forward at pace in the break, his passing would be perfect. We just need a cdm

Just a reminder of good he can be, hopefully it’s just taking him awhile to settle in a different country and next season he’s ready for it. Be class if him and GLC can get a understanding going. We could have the one of the best midfields in the country.

I'm looking forward to the link up with Kane, Sonny and Bergwijn. He's barely played in a functioning team and already has 2 goals and 4 assists.

Hopefully Kane gets back to his best but he always has a lull after coming back from injury.

Jose with a clear dig at ndombles entourage when answering a question about lo celso yesterday. Will be interesting how this unfolds, right now if it means we can re-invest in 4-5 players instead of 2-3 then I’d sell him back to France to PSG etc and take a slight loss but if he’s willing to work hard and his entourage stop causing trouble and Leaking things to the press etc then there is no doubting his talent and of course we should keep him.

But if we’d signed him for more like £20mil I’d have no doubts he’d be out the door this summer, you see that Rose was pushed out because Jose wants to build a squad with no troublemakers and leaking stories of goings on within the squad to the sun every other day doesn’t help the team lol, just how ndombeles entourage leaking stories straight after games also doesn’t help the team in which case if it’s just not a good fit then let’s take the hit and move on as 95% of the rest of the squad are getting behind Jose.

Ndombele is uniquely talented and a very good player but still he is a bit overrated by some fans, its probably just social media noise that I should ignore but its frustrating to see online that its such a big issue him playing or not playing has become.

Even though i think hes excellent and want him to play at least ahead of Dele I already find it tremendously boring that every time hes not picked, for seemingly legitimate reasons, there is some sort of outcry against the Manager and whoever else. Would almost be worth selling him to Barcelona if it meant we got Semedo + another in return just to stop the 'Saga' around him.

Its become more than social media noise because Mourinho is having to talk about it in interviews. We're just lucky the Ndombele doesn't have as much clout as Pogba, because it would be hyped up even more as a Player vs Manager scenario in the mainstream media and that tore the arse out of Manchester United under Mourinho for pretty much the last 12 months of his reign, and he was only there for 2 and a bit years.

That's the exact reaction I had to that video. He needs to take Dele's place in the team. Not only does he make clever through passes around the box, he's capable of coming back into his own half, picking the ball up, dribbling past a player or two and then playing a quick ball forward. That's where Dele falls short, the further from the opponent's goal he gets, the less of a threat he becomes.

Stick Ndombele in Dele's position and not only do we see him improve, our front 3 of Son, Kane and Bergwijn will suddenly be a lot more involved in the game.

Yup. I think this is what you call 'thinly veiled'

It's clearly just a mistake. No one in the history of mix ups would have any trouble distinguishing between Diop and Tielemans. They play in different positions and for different teams. And seeing as you're bringing skin colour up here, their skin tones are miles apart.

Ouch. That doesn’t bode well
Have to say I do like how Jose does this, (not the same as when he was just being a dick to luke shaw) but this thinly veiled messaging via the media gives the fans etc a good idea of actually what’s going on bending the scenes without actually coming out and saying it. Clever

Yes, we as fans have a much better idea now of what Ndombele is doing behind the scenes in comparison to Lo Celso. It means we respect Lo Celso more, which I like.
Does it increase the chances of Ndombele getting selected, or playing well for us? That’s something I’m not sure about. And ultimately that’s all we want: our best players playing well for us.
let’s hope it works.

Fair enough for Jose to want TN to prove him wrong. If he can't even convince his own manager how's he going to help the team?

Rose was pushed out because Davies, Vertonghen, Tanganga and Sessegnon were playing better than him.

No, he was clearly playing badly, but there were also the leaks to the Sun that it doesn't take a genius to realise was Rose too, and Levy had wanted to sell him for a while.

There were but if he played good he wouldn't be loaned
