Just to clarify, the Guardian report first that we're talking but no bid is made valuing the player at 50 million with no bid made - people lose their shit.

Internet bollox comes out with a story of 45 million euros being rejected about 9 - 12 hours after the first report went out, not quite the 50 million we value him at and people lose their shit.

This excludes the other story (if you chose to read it) from a red top suggesting we were going in with a 60 million bid ...

Not excluding different branches of the same TV channel reporting we had agreed a deal and then we were in talks with, somewhere in the middle of all the above reports ...

People lose their shit.

Not that the summer has started, but it's going to be a long summer.

Transfer window bingo should really become a thing.

Which is precisely why I don't pay much attention to media articles unless it matches what we hear from the ITK God's on here. More reliable and logical than anything the papers ever write.

We know we are willing to spend big on Lo Celso and N'Dombele, so we shouldn't let media BS deter us from that line of thought until JJ or Herc change their tune.

I think perhaps a good (?!) indicator is ITK on other team threads? Bluemoon and Red Cafe seem quiet on this.... Unless I'm missing something. Don't want to tempt fate either 😬

People seem bemused by my post about ball park figures after Lyon sold Mendy, it's quite simple really as there has been talk of them wanting £70-£80 million for Ndombele but if they are willing to sell an important player to Real Madrid of all people, for £47 million you'd hope they aren't thinking in terms of those high figures and their ball park is around £50-£60 million give or take. The difference in the player's style and position isn't necessarily the defining factor. Whether or not I am right will become clear when we see the final fee. I'm sure we all understand the meaning of the word hopefully don't they?

Hope we can acquire both Ndombele and G-Lo's services.

They'll certainly help to give me a fair chance of doubling my money, after betting a Chelsea supporting arsewipe a bullseye that we'd finish above them this upcoming season.

Lots of different claims flying around as to what we've bid. At present, the one thing they all seem to agree on is that we are in talks.

I'll take that, got to feckin start somewhere.

I wish our fanbase would just relax a little bit. Losing your shit over media stories of this bid or that bid are pretty much all going to be made up or based on flakey info fed to them from agents with their own agendas. None of these journos, whether it be Lyall, Alisdair Gold, Michael Bridges, Michael McGrath or whoever have any info that is 100% accurate.

My position on Ndombele is that it is clear we have an interest and we are trying to do a deal. That is as much as any of us really know. How much we value the player for, how much Lyon value the player for, what we've bid, what's been rejected - none of this really matters and it certainly isn't anything that anyone should be getting all wound up about.

Until JJ or anyone reliable from our side comes along and says "it's dead" then just try being cautiously optimistic. It's a much nicer place to be.

JJ going quiet is the best indicator that something is happening here. I'd imagine we are in negotiations now.

I believe it will be NDombele or Lo Celsco and not both. Just onions. Depends on who we do the deal with first.
