Anyone else a bit concerned with Jose’s latest quotes about N'Dombele? Didn’t just say he was injured, but added “with lots of problems.”

Now I know it could just be a throwaway quote taken out of context, but I have a horrible feeling we’re not going to see him for a while.

Has it been frustrating for Tanguy Ndombele not to be able to contribute?
Is he frustrated? You have to ask him. Am I frustrated or is he frustrated?
More him...
I don't know, you would have to ask him.

he doesn't seem very worried to me bit of a softie if you ask me Mckay Mullery Roberts would be ashamed of his commitment .
Lets hope its just that he needs bedding in and will then play and fully compete in games with our luck with signings I won't be holding my breath.

Football is different now. Doesnt matter how tough you are, if you get a muscle strain or tear you are going to get it. Nothing to do with mentality.

He's clearly not match fit as he always appears to be gassing early on in games, which is why he keeps picking up all these muscular injuries. He's clearly struggling adjusting to the pace of the Premiership, won't see the best of him until next season when he's had a proper pre-season

So frustrating that our record signing, who is incredibly talented, has had so many fitness and injury issues in only his first half-season with us. I swear we are cursed, the universe simply won't let us have a big money transfer that just fucking works.

Think there’s something to be said for how it could’ve affected Ndombele mentally to get these injuries after having so few before.

My honest opinion is that it's the opposite. He's not coping mentally with the move for whatever reason (doesn't like the country, missing loved ones etc) and as a result isn't in the right frame of mind and doesn't want to play and because it's not in his or the clubs interest to divulge that we keep hearing of these niggles and strains that are keeping him out. I have major concerns about his commitment and state of mind in regards to being a Spurs player if I'm being honest.

How about everyone stops being an absolute prick about his mental state ffs

You don’t know the guy, the effect of chronic injuries or how he has settled into life here in the UK.

No one should criticise him for this, but we can comment and discuss it.

Clearly something is wrong in this area. Hope the guy gets through it.

Yes his absence is always referred to as « issues » or « problems » rather than an injury. Interesting use of words.

i hope it gets sorted because he’s a mega talent

I am not going to pussyfoot around saying what I think about pampered players on enormous wages I don't get where all the sympathy comes from if he is not suited to the game in England then sell him .
I am hoping that somewhere in the future we can get as what I would describe as an old fashioned type player with an old fashioned mentality . You feel that if Mckay Roberts Miller Mullery were told you can't play because your leg is too badly injured they would say " its only one leg the other ones OK " some of these modern players for me are too soft too pampered and we seem to have more than our fair share of brittle players who it seems its not worth putting themselves out unless their fitness / mind / feelings / are 100%.

When is he not injured or not ready to play?

Does it matter? We have had plenty of players rushed back under Pochettino only to play terribly until they pick up another injury. Take Kane for example. The lad needs to recover properly and feel like he has recovered otherwise he will just keep injuring himself. It’s all well and good to say, blood and thunder, etc. However the reality of it is that premier league football is gruelling. For example, It claimed Ledley’s knees, Torres fitness, so on and so forth.

If you want to see him tear up this league you have to accept that he needs to get up to speed and feel like he can impose himself.

Players these days are pussies. I remember when real men played on after losing a leg in an unfortunate shooting incident at half time. Sell the lot of them and get the girls team in. Bunch of jessies.
