???

If we need to raise funds to strengthen the team, he’ll be the first out the door. Won’t bother me. It seems it will take a major attitude change from him to be a success here.

Could Mourinho of gone to visit him because the player was feeling lonely and isolated. As believable as him being surprised at Mourinho turning up at his flat, which sounds a lot less likely. Guess it depends on which direction of spin the particular paper puts on it.

Please stop calling people Dave.... his name isn't Dave ffs

Selling Ndombele and strengthen the team doesn't match up.

It’s pretty obvious when the window opens that our transfer budget will have gone on paying the wages of the players currently at the club because they haven’t taken a wage deferral.

Therefore we will have to raise funds and he’s the player who the manager will be willing to sacrifice to get the money in. The player can’t play 90 minutes and therefore isn’t much use to anyone.

Unbelievably it seems to require explanation but we need reinforcements in other areas. Selling him is worth strengthening the squad for.

We will only sell if we can recover the initial layout and this may prove a challenge

If he isn’t much use to anyone, why would someone buy him or pay any amount of money for him?

At the moment you can't say that we don't have money to spend or have(but reports from France or Portugal about Onana/Grimaldo/Ruben Dias would suggest that we have ;) )

Did you see any reports suggesting that? Because L'Equipe reports that Ndombele would want to leave, and in England you have The Athletic and Jonh Cross saying that Mourinho wants Ndombele in his squad.

Guy has more ability than he knows what to do with - fear that mentally, he may not be up for it.

This is a thing apparently (with wisdom teeth). Did't OWF get all the Man U players to have theirs removed in their era of dominance? I recall Gerrard also had his wisdom teeth removed after suffering repeatedly form hamstring injuries in his early twenties. Eden Hazard had his removed in 2015.

Yeah it happened under Wenger at Arsenal as well I think. I don’t get it, but it definitely has precedent.

Although even if there was some merit in linking it with injuries I don’t think good dental work can cure someone of being a lazy fucker. I’ve had plenty of dental work and it hasn’t worked for me:D.

We have pretty good evidence that there's a correlation between oral health and the risk of an injury reoccuring. But we don't know if poor oral health is causing it (i.e. the pain, or increased vulnerability to pathogens overworking the immune system, results in re-injury). Or if there's a different factor causing both (e.g. players who don't brush their teeth twice a day have worse oral health, and also tend to be less dilligent in other areas, which is what heightens their injury risk). It seems like the former probably plays at least some role so it's worth a try, but it isn't conclusive.

But every other club is in the same position as us. We're not the only ones that will be massively short on funds this summer, in fact finding a club that will want to pay a tonne of money for a player we signed that has had a very slow season is going to be almost impossible.

Have to say I really think the club/Ndombele have missed a trick by not showing him training more on his social media.

They must be aware of the fans criticism about him so showing him working hard could’ve helped immeasurably imo

His teeth?

Utterly ridiculous.

..except I remember Steven Gerrard having continual back problems. Houllier sent him off to a dentist in Germany or France who said it was down to wisdom teeth. He had them removed and that solved the problem.

(It's been a while but I am 99% sure of hearing the above. I can even remember where I was when I heard it.)

While I agree that there is a link between dental health and other fitness concerns, with Ndombele, I fear this may just be clutching as straws.
I still hopeful that he's gonna come back stronger after this break, for several reasons.

That's if he has been working hard, I hope he has been as want to see him succeed at the club as could be a real game winner for us and what we have been missing all season in the middle of the park.

Well he’d definitely be doing at minimum what the club tells him too.
