We've been dealing with Levy longer than you Poch, we know the score.

Although some people do forget every window.

I wouldn't hold your breath Poch, if we do get late signings you just know it won't be his first targets either.

*Edit*

How is this spam? @davidmatzdorf or are you just following the 3-4 people aka little pack of sheep that like to give me neg ratings everytime I post? :D.

History shows what I am saying is true, just look at Sissoko, do you think that was Poch's first choice and do you think he wanted him that late in the window?

Once again more people burying their heads in the sand, maybe Levy should try supporting the best manager we have had since Bill BEFORE we kick the first ball of the season for once?

Of course we will get late signings. Replacements for Rose (United), Dier (Munich), Dele (Barca). Anyone else I'm missing?

I wonder how late we'll be replacing doom-laden depressive fans?
All those knee-jerk injuries.
Nah. Not going to happen.

Gave you an agree but will caveat it, because I'd be surprised if any manager got their first choices every summer. Even at the big clubs, they will sometimes fail to get in the ones they want. So Poch probably won't get his first choices, but that's probably not unusual

As for David Matzdorf's spam rating - no comment :)

Well right now, we all feeling a bit like a skank that didn't use a condom waiting for her period at the end of the month....baited breath guys, baited breath.

'Bated. Actually'. Whereupon he turned on his heel, and swept out of the drawing room, leaving his guests in no doubt as to his erudition and social poise. They would certainly not make that faux pas again, he sniffed.

Well we've all given up on early signings. In fairness there opportunities to get bargains late on, I'm guessing Everton will cut their demands for Barkley and there are a couple of other deals like that. Just hope we can get enough depth.

Eriksen, lamela, vdv were all bought in the last few days of the window. They might not have been first choice but i was happy.

The massive downside to these late transfers that people simply don't acknowledge is that the incoming players have virtually no time to get up to speed with the celebratory handshakes. They can't be expected to pick this kind of stuff up without some intense coaching and choreography which we just don't have time for. Levy out!

I don't doubt that we'll make late signings. I do doubt that they'll be good, first-choice players.

When Levy tries to play the long game, and string out a deal for a first-choice target until the last minute, it simply never comes off. It's always close but not quite. The fact that it's the same story every time does not seem to dissuade him from this approach.

VdV was signed last minute, but the circumstances were highly fortuitous. It wasn't a long drawn out game of Levy poker. It was Madrid offering on a plate for a fixed price at the last minute.
