I can see the Euros being scrapped until next year to allow for the season to be extended by a month across Europe, assuming it's able to resume and the various leagues haven't just declared the season void.

It's supposed to be at its peak at the end of April so it'd make zero sense to resume play before then.

Even IF it does reach its peak by then we will be talking large numbers of infected people. This curve they keep talking about is dependant on a lot of things.

There is no chance it will kick off again on the 3rd, none. The season is over, I have no idea what the FA will do, but its a bit of a wet fart for Liverpool if they do get it by default.

Agreed. It's right they're suspending games but unlikely it will be lifted by April. By then the exponential growth of the virus will see tens of thousands of cases here in the UK. Some things are more important than football. In a few weeks the authorities will bow to the inevitable and cancel the season.

I think at that point if players are still coming down with it then they will cancel the season.

Brilliant for us, in part because it gives the squad some training time together Without any games which will be like a mini pre season. Then potentially even better, if they do call the whole thing off most of us will get the end we wanted to this hateful season.

Part of me is disappointed actually as Liverpool look a bit weak mentally at the moment and nothing would have been more enjoyable than watching them fuck this up. I know that was a long shot but they’d really started to dip and the manner of their exit against A Madrid really got to them - Klopp mouthing off and the players getting desperate and dirty. It would’ve been wonderful to see them implode, even if they won it by 3 or 6 points it would’ve been a massive drop for them.

I’ll just have to settle with no bus parade for the wankers

But look at it another way.

They don't get the season ending they wanted, they don't get their end of season parade. It's all denied.

So they've put everything into winning the PL for the first time and for what? To either have it nulled or given to them but not actually being allowed to celebrate it (anti-climax).

That could do them mentally. They'd have to somehow refocus and try to get excited for a new season when the last one left such a bitter taste
