Gutted for Bournemouth but growing up there I'm a bit biased. Ten years ago they were stuck in league one and there were people collecting money to try and help stop them going out of business so they've come a long way.

They have to sack Howe now. He’s wasted money buying terrible players on the whole. Had he done that better they might not of been in the position they were in. He’s been there too long and needs to change.

He took them from -17 points in League Two, he'll be given the chance to take them back up. The only question is whether Howe is motivated to continue.

But no doubt he has made a lot of mistakes and especially on the recruitment side of things those mistakes finally came home to roost.

He doesn’t look like he’s got the motivation in him. Far too comfortable. He needs to go and try his hand somewhere else.

He tried a season at Burnley when Bournemouth were League One and Burnley were Championship, it didn't work out and he went back.

Granted that's a while ago now but I don't think Howe's willing to leave just yet.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

He’s been a bit naive at this level at times I guess but on the other hand he has been loyal to the club through good and bad times apart from his brief sojourn at Burnley. He has peaked with Bournemouth though, I would say.

I think he needs to leave but dont think he should be sacked... although financially it may be better getting sacked

Look he has clearly made mistakes in the transfer market and buying some right shit.. Solanke, Ibe, and one or two more... and has made mistakes but overall he has done an incredible job.

It’s the defence that has been neglected. They haven’t bought one premier league ready defender. All young punts.

Yes I think if Howe had spent some of that £35m they paid for Solanke and Ibe on a couple of defenders they would still be a PL team.

Hell just look how important Gary Cahill, a free transfer (but probably on significant wages) was for Palace this season. There's certainly value to be had if you're a bit pragmatic about it.

Think Bournemouth got unlucky with injuries, Wilson, Brooks, Cook all had some difficult injuries and regressed because of them. Some of the signings were shit too but league is very competitive, if 3 of your 5 best players get tough injuries and regress it's tough for anyone. They needed to invest more in defence though, maybe they overrated Ake, he can't do it all by himself.

The defence has been crying out for attention since they came up. They conceded more than 60 goals in every season but got by because they were scoring at the other end. Their luck had to run out at some point.

Their defence is awful - agreed. They never really sorted out the keeper situation too and will lose Ake this summer.

Bournemouth have spent money atrociously (giving £60m to Liverpool for Ibe, Smith and Solanke needs investigating imo) yet still have a laughable defence - both collectively and individually. Ake is decent, but the rest are championship level at best. This has been their downfall

Pretty poor selection for GOTS this year if you ask me, if Son doesn’t win this it’ll be the greatest injustice in human history. The only goal that’s even close is that KDB howitzer

Problem is Cahill's on about £75k a week. How many good PL ready defenders are available and within Bournemouth's wage budget?

I hope it wasn't put to a public vote. In Norway Son lost the public vote to Martial vs Sheffield Utd

People are biased sheep.

Being bigged up too much for his own good IMO, when he has alot more to prove. Mind you some of our fans would want him here over Mourinho. Mind-boggling.

If he’d of saved them from relegation he’d of been worth those wages. If Callum Wilson is on £110k a week they can afford Cahill. They just recruited spectacularly badly.
