I thought the top of his shoulder too, from the one replay I saw. Oh well, VAR disagrees.

City-Arsenal postponed this evening.

Some members of the Arsenal squad have to stay at their homes for 14 days. All comes from the olympiakos owner getting corona and the players meeting him.

Mental.

Postpone the season for 6 weeks so we can get Kane, Son and Sissoko back

They only have to isolate for a couple more days since it'll soon be two weeks since they played Olympiakos. The 14 days is counted from date of contact.

But they've played West Ham and Portsmouth since the Olympiakos game, does that mean all their players have to isolate as well?

Portsmouth have played Peterborough and Fleetwood since the Arsenal game, does that mean that these clubs have to isolate now?

I'm not even saying this because Spurs are utter toilet now, I genuinely believe all sport has to be cancelled for the forseeable future until this is properly contained.

With the City v Arse game postponed , I'm somewhat surprised that Coronavirus hasn't found a way through the Spurs defence already, because quite frankly just about everything else has with relative ease, including Uncle Tom Cobley, and his dog et al. .

The sensible thing to do would be to postpone the season for a month and knock the Euros on the head but that'd never happen. There's just not going to be time to start postponing matches (and the one tonight is just the start) and get all of the matches played and play the Euros and have a break and have a preseason.

Just scrap it all. No religation or promotion and European places are baised on last year's results.....yeah that won't happen as it benefits us

Legal rammifications would be huge, I'm sure that's why we are not seeing as much happening as we perhaps should.

Liverpool don't win the league?
Certain clubs miss out on top 4
Certain clubs don't get relegated or promoted.

I think the PL is hoping to get through this as unscathed as possible, i.e. hoping Liverpool win the league quickly, etc...

Serie A are talking about knocking their season on the head early and having playoffs to decide European spots etc so it might come to that. As long as it involves having to actually play games of football though we're fucked so it doesn't really help us.

Do we even know the ramifications of doing sports while infected? Even if you're not showing normal symptoms I presume you could still be affected (stamina, heart, etc).

I doubt we'll get to the end of the season unscathed by this; not with the rate of infection seen across the globe.

That said, I'm surprised the the Arsenal players have to quarantine for 14 days. You would have thought they could pay top dollar for super quick private testing, to see if they had the virus.
