Best result for us.
Yep. We're a long way off being able to seriously consider the fact that we could finish 4th/5th, but today has made our chances a tiny weeny bit more realistic.

Need to do the bizzo tomorrow though.

They were at home tonight tbf. They’re a different proposition with the carpet there.
I really am interested to see how much home and away actually affects performance these days. I'm sure much less. Mind, I guess COVID hasn't really changed the atmosphere in that Olympic stadium.

Like do the VAR people have no concept of how height works. As was mentioned, if anything Antonio is making it easier for Kepa, if he wasn't there it would be a simple finish that Darren Bent could have scored!
It's Jon Moss. If he was VAR for the decision he gave to Fernandes for his massive dive against us, he would STILL have awarded the penalty because the "posiibility of contact" was there... ffs

Entertaining game. West Ham came out with much more intent and pluck than they showed against us last week, but it was almost as if Chelsea turned up after recent results and thought they could stroll it. Got exposed defensively a lot and looked way too open.

Have to say that Antonio is a very likable player despite the club he plays for. He's a proper handful, one of the few players in the league who can be completely isolated and still pose major problems for the opposing CBs. If they were to be relegated I wouldn't be completely against him as the backup for Kane.

I’d take Yarmolenko as well. Inconsistent, but has a lot of quality.

And at the top that race for fourth/fifth is very much on now.
Table

edit : this is a clip of the table showing everyone from city down to arsenal.....

jfc. i hope we ram it down their biased throats and they choke on it. it's not so much they don't include us but include the scum which then by rights need to include us, burnley, sheffield and everton.

Seems like the better teams are picking up wins home or away, with tonight’s result the obvious exception.

The smaller clubs who relied on home form have definitely been disproportionately affected by the lack of fans.

Terrible result for Chelsea. West Ham are pretty shite, they should be beating them with the players at their disposal.

Weird feeling im annoyed Chelsea didnt beat them. We are not catching chelsea
We are probably not, but its still a chance, if we get it down to three points on the final game of the season anything can happen. It's a tough ask though.

I don't care about West Ham, they aren't really our rivals and they are not in competition with us. It would be amusing to see them relegated. But, this is the better result for us.

I'm not expecting us to do it but if we win tomorrow better teams than Chelsea have dropped a six point lead.

At this stage the only team you can really rule out is United, because of the way they are playing and free scoring.

Chelsea have got massive issues against teams who give them a physical contest. Remember in December-January they had a dreadful run because teams were making it hard for them. If anything, City were a good team for them to play. Such a shame we didn't turn up in either affair as one win against them would have made this a much more achievable objective.

Leicester are in freefall now. They've stopped scoring and they are certainly going to feel the heat. Young team too. Rodgers has always had problems reversing bad form.

Wolves are a big threat. They are looking consistent, we just need to hope they lose points in the bigger games.

We need 2 of that lot to fail badly. I can certainly see one of them failing.

In the Bundesliga there weren’t any. Stats told us that there were more wins for the away teams

That could be our most tricky game.
Newcastle doing well and Jose has always struggled on the Toon

6 point gap is fine its the fact there are other teams ahead of us

If form and fixtures are anything to go by, Utd look like the most likely team to come 3rd and 4th may well come down to Wolves/Chelsea on the last day of the season.

The vindictive part of me is glad to see Leicester falling away. Bet those smug ****s were already gleefully discussing all the brilliant signings they'd be making with the CL money back in February.

Mad how things have changed. Back in December I would've happily bet a sizeable amount that Utd wouldn't get anywhere near the Champions League places, let alone be fighting it out for 3rd. Bruno has really been one hell of a signing.
