Im sorry but with all due respect, fuck off with your record. This is about life or death of tens of thousands of people and the survival of the sport. Your record might well be gone anyway if the sport cant come back at some point in the next 2 years(which is what it will take for a vaccine to be available). You might want to rethink your position.

With all due respect you are American so have no understanding of the many many thousands of English fans who have gone home, away and abroad with their club for many many years and are the true lifeblood of the sport.

I also highly doubt you are a virologist, epidemiologist, scientist, etc. and so do not know about vaccines.

As for deaths I work for the NHS but that is a separate subject.

Ah yes, the well know fact that being American means you have no understanding of people travelling to watch football

Then don't do it. The whole purpose of restarting is to finalize league positions. Including relegation. If you don't have relegation on the table there's no point in going through this huge brouhaha.
Safest and smartest way forward is to finish the season now. Crown the presumptive Champs. But do not relegate or promote teams. Then start the next season mid Sept, but with no European football. Remove international travel as a potential safety concern for the players. Is it ideal? No. It's a compromise that is probably the fairest option.
Next season will be weird. As it's not like in mid sept there will no more covid and we will have full stadiums again. Bollocks. Until a vaccine, a panacea style cure, and or the virus has effectively gone, then by all means, fill em up. But the earliest that will happen is Feb of next year. If it was sooner that would be fantastic, but nothing indicates we will be free and safe from this thing for quite some time.

Nothing meaningful to add, except to say this is spot on :hungry:

Because Americans dont cris cross the 50 states(and go to Mexico, Canada, Japan and the UK) traveling with their teams? Please. Just stop.

No i dont know about vaccines but i do know that one wont be approved for wide spread use and scaled to where it needs to be in a matter of month. And that if one is eventually at that stage, the earliest is next year.

Absolutely pathetic post, completely unworthy of the Spurs family

About 15 years ago there was a user on this forum called 'Chan'. He was from China and his English was very poor, but he used to get really excited talking about Spurs and said he got great happiness from connecting with Spurs fans around the world and feeling friendship when he wore his Spurs shirt. He was driven off by people like you, telling him he wasn't a real fan. He just posted a message one day saying goodbye, and never came back. Such a shame

How does where you're from determine your ability to support something?

You don't need to be a virologist, epidemiologist, scientist, to know they're not going to rush a vaccine so people can watch other people kick a ball around just because they've watched people kick a ball around a lot more than other people.

In what way are deaths a separate subject? The risk of death is literally the point of not having crowds at games. Working for the NHS you should know the amount of NHS staff dying at work, and the hundreds of people they have to watch die each day. How can that be less of a concern than a game?

But she’s seen every game ever and wants to! Thats far more important then the risk of 60k people dying:rolleyes:

No just a different culture which is not a bad or good thing just different. I've seen Spurs in America many times. I befriended an American journalist who was paid to come to England for a year and followed Spurs home and away for that year and wrote a lengthy piece about the differences.

There might never be a vaccine. Ever. If there is a treatment is more likely to be approved before a vaccine. I agree it's a different world now but we have to adapt to it. In my view fans will be allowed back but the experience may be altogether different.

Wouldn’t surprise me if fans weren’t let in untill there’s a vaccine

If the rate of infection comes down enough then it should be ok with or without a vaccine. It's not like people don't die from seasonal flu every year. It comes down to what is deemed a manageable infection rate and what doesn't overwhelm the NHS. Plus if they get good enough results from a drug that helps people recover things will start to pick up again. A vaccine isn't the be all end all, by the time one comes out it may not be needed too much because we may already be over the worst of it.

You've gotta be a bit mental to do every one of our games home and away Jesus, a little enforced break will probably do a person the world of good, silver lining I'd say

Chan actually went on to create a place where everyone is welcome, 4chan. True story.

I must admit, I don't really understand how a superfan can threaten to turn their back on the club, just because they may not to get to watch a couple of matches live.
That just doesn't make any sense to me.

IF they start the season again behind closed doors and have no relegation I don't see the point at all.

With European football not even a cert for next year for anyone there is literally nothing for anyone to play for except Liverpool.

Pointless games in silent stadiums for what reason?

There is no integrity in playing the games in that way. If the club's need to make money then thats fine but then let's call a spade a spade.
