A return date of June 1 one of several considered, but clubs did not discuss fixture modelling in detail during an emergency call on March 19.

Football behind closed doors should not happen in my view. Football is all about the fans, without the athosphere at grounds generated by the fans, all games would be a dreadful watch on TV. If fans can't go to the games then delay the restart to the season or cancel completely.
No its NOT the way to go. Playing behind closed door implies that the coronavirus situation is not over. So why endanger the players and the support staff who would actually have to work? This much bigger than football so until there is an all clear across the board where fans will be allowed to attend, football like every other sports or social events will have to wait.In exceptional circumstances such as these it's the only way to go. We won't abandon the season, as much as I'd like it to be, given what the broadcasters have paid for rights. But I can't see it happening on the given date. The country won't be sufficiently rid of the virus by then and if a single player were to get it then the whole squad would have to isolate for another 2 weeks. I reckon it'll drag on into September. Not sure what happens to next season...
