This is not a joke and i am not trying to be funny but i think it now needs to be taken very seriously. As people have mentioned in other threads, our form in 2019 is worrying, 25 points out of a possible 75 is something we can't ignore.

Anyway, the magic mark to avoid the drop is usually 40 points. We currently sit on 14 points. So we need to get a further 26 points from the next 26 games (possible 78 points).

Here are the remaining fixtures and my prediction based on our recent form:

Sat 23 Nov West Ham United A - Loss
Sat 30 Nov A.F.C. Bournemouth H - Draw

December 2019

Tue 3 Dec Manchester United A - Loss
Sat 7 Dec Burnley H - Draw
Sat 14 Dec Wolverhampton Wanderers A - Loss
Sat 21 Dec Chelsea H - Loss
Thu 26 Dec Brighton and Hove Albion H - Win

Sat 28 Dec Norwich City A -Loss

January 2020
Wed 1 Jan Southampton A - Draw
Sat 11 Jan Liverpool H - Loss
Sat 18 Jan Watford A - draw
Wed 22 Jan Norwich City H - win

February 2020
Sat 1 Feb Manchester City H - loss
Sat 8 Feb Aston Villa A - matches to be played 8 or 15 February - draw
Sat 22 Feb Chelsea A - loss
Sat 29 Feb Wolverhampton Wanderers H - draw

March 2020

Sat 7 Mar Burnley A - loss
Sat 14 Mar Manchester United H - draw
Sat 21 Mar West Ham United H - draw

April 2020
Sat 4 Apr Sheffield United A - loss
Sat 11 Apr Everton H - win
Sat 18 Apr A.F.C. Bournemouth A - draw
Sat 25 Apr Arsenal H - win

May 2020
Sat 2 May Newcastle United A - draw
Sat 9 May Leicester City H - draw
Sun 17 May Crystal Palace A - loss

Based on the above 26 games - i see us winning 4 games, drawing 11 and losing 11. Thats 23 points which takes us to 37 points in total. I'm not sure 37 will be enough. In the past when we have been close to getting relegated, we have brought back former strikers half way through the season to help us avoid the drop, not sure who that could be this time around.

This will thread will go over people’s head, when the reality is we ARE in relegation form, both in 2019 & this current season.

We are closer to the bottom then we are to the top 4, if that doesn’t hit home I don’t know what will.

why are you posting about January to May, it doesn't count and there is enough reasons why we struggled

read the below link and tell me you expected us to be winning most of those away games in February, also understand we have played Liverpool, and Man C both twice, and Chelsea and Arsenal. we lost to Bournemouth with 9 men in the dying seconds, and Burnley 1st goal, and Southamptons winner

come on we struggled even though we got the results until the slump happened, and no one seems to understand we don't have a squad of robots.

those 11 players above (Poss our main 11) finished 1 season, then went off to a World Cup, only 4 of them played over 30 games due to injuries. Not sure any of them had a full 2 weeks off, after the World Cup exits after the group stages, Sanchez, Eriksen, and Son then went off on the preseason comp in America.

and people wonder why we struggled all season let alone after a busy December. Liverpool never suffered the above, Man C did to an extent but look at the squad depth they have. No other team bar City in the premier suffered such a grueling season, and gutted from Feb to May our away form suffered and yet we still made the CL final

I doubt many of the people moaning about our form over that period do anything half as athletic (fair enough you don't receive the pay) but I bet you most had more than 2 weeks holiday over that time to refresh themselves sitting behind a screen clicking numbers or whatever they do, yet those players are doing training 4-5 days a week and playing a high paced sport 1-2 times on top, and sometimes playing with injuries

All i see is excuses for our results, you can forget about 2019 but what about this season ? 3 wins from 12 ... theres no hiding from the position we are in, thats the reality we face & the sooner we all realise the better

oh I agree this season we haven't been impressive apart from 4-5 games with only 3 of them being in the league, but totally different circumstances. we seem to have a 24 man squad with only 19 players most of us would like to build up a relationship and hope discarding the other 5 don't cause issues. we have an unhappy manager that's not getting anything out of this team, and I doubt many of the remaining 19 are too happy.

but last seasons end of seasons away form with a burnout injured squad isn't that much of a surprise. I knew we were in for a struggle from day 1 and was just glad we were nicking results at all

agree especially 1 surprise win v Spam who won't be sitting with 10 men behind the ball unless they take an early lead, and a win v Bournemouth who won't defend either and we could be top 6

Or we get outplayed and lose both games and continue being the laughing stock of the league. You can choose which is more likely at this point.

It won't get that far. If we are looking in danger, Levy will pull the trigger, regardless of the £32m payout to Poch. A new manager would probably do enough to get us out of the shite. Sad days though.
