Buzzing about Bale and Regulion.
Statement signings from Levy. Jose got what he wants and need this window.

I really think this squad can give us something this season. If we cant do it now, then I dont understand anything.....

Squad is starting to look good - on paper! Still a long way to go to get them playing as a unit

4th is genuinely the minimum expectation now. This squad is streets ahead of Arsenal, United, Everton or Leicester. Time to get the best out of them and challenge for the title too.

If Bale, Kane and Lo Celso stays fit, I'm gunning for 2nd or 3rd.

One more creative midfielder (or Eriksen) to complete the team and challenge for the title. Optimistic probably, but never once have I felt so balanced in the team.

I think that's what we need to be looking at. At least if we are in the title race we're likely to end up in the top 4. I think we need 2-3 more signings to put our squad on the level of Liverpool/Man City though. Creative midfielder, backup striker, and central defender.

Is this actually possible? Doesn't seem like he really is what Conte wants anyway.

Exactly. And I don't see any team would want him now with his stakes so low. I wasn't a fan of him towards the end TBH. But we clearly lack someone like him who can make threatening passes so effortlessly for players to run into.

Unbelievable, that Palace aren't 3-4 goals up. Now they've missed a penalty too.
Edit: It was taken again and it's 0-2.

Just like that, we climbed above Man U in the table without even playing . The Bale effect is on! :)

If we fulfil the potential of our strongest 11 then we should be looking at a top 4 finish. However, there are a few major challenges to achieving that.

Lo Celso, Ndombele, Bergwijn, Fernandes, Hart, Hojberg, Doherty, Bale, Reguilon and likely a striker and CB (not to mention Sessegnon - as it seems likely Clarke has gone on loan) would be an 11 player turnover in just over a year. To expect a gelling that will see them win the title, while not impossible, is unlikely.

For me cup runs should be the priority expecting top 6, and, if things go well, CL next year. This team needs to learn to win. We don't have that....yet. Great example was Plovdiv. Should have been at least 3-0 at the half. It wasn't. Another 2 free kicks where one should expect at very least a save from the keeper, wall and sky is what we got. Winners bury most of those. There is a lot of learning and execution still to be done. Talent is there for a super year and an even better run for years to come.

A midfield and attack of Hojbjerg, Lo Celso, Eriksen, Bale, Kane, and Son. Let's just offer Inter a refund lol

It’s arguably the greatest squad we’ve ever had. On paper obviously, If Chelsea or Utd had our squad they’d be considered title challengers ?. Jose just has to get a tune out of them now. I honestly thought two good full backs and we’d easy get top 4. Everyone else has improved but we have a great chance of getting involved with very top of the league. I can’t believe Bale is younger than Aubameyang. I predict 3rd this year but it’ll all be closer from 1st to 6th. I think we’ll finally win something as well.Loris , Doherty, Reguilon, Dier, Alderweireld, Hojbjerg, N’dombele, Lo Celso, Bale, Son, Kane. Subs. Dele, Winks, sissoko, Sanchez, lamela, sessingon, Davies, Bergewjin, Lucas Aurier. A manager that’s a serial winner. The sky is the limit.

I think Dias a decent CF and a combative/creative midfielder will allow us to compete on all fronts.

I think title talk would be way too soon as we need to see how they gel and need to improve other aspects but top 4 should certainly be achievable as we would be better than United and Arsenal at least (I also think Chelsea are in for a bit of a rude awakening)

FA Cup and Europa Cup should be within reach

We have one hell of a forward line now. A back up striker and a bit more depth in midfield and we will challenge for trophy’s this year.

Top 4 is going to be tough, not because we aren’t good enough, but because the competition for the top places is pretty fierce this year.

Think we will do it, and hopefully push for the title too. But as we saw last year, get the wrong injuries and a season can suddenly evaporate.

Bale & Reguilon gives us crosses which didn’t have in the XI. Both excellent crossers. Likes of Kane Dele & Doherty should be licking their lips.

Power Pace & finishing on the counterattack is going to be incredible. Key for the season is to keep Bale, Ndombele , Kane , Lo Celso fit. If these 4 remain fit majority of the season then we will have a incredible season

well we made the CL final a little over a year ago and now we have a much stronger team and squad (at least on paper) and possibly a couple more signings on the way. And we have a manager who has won 3 premier leagues and 2 champions leagues and is one of the best managers in the world. So I don’t see why we can’t aim for that.
