Yea probably true :( but he’s an absoloute baller. They buy ziyech and Pulisic. We buy Bergweign and Jack Clarke/Sessengon lol. We are not quite there yet are we.

Erevidisie only:

Ziyech this season: 21 games, 6 goals, 0 assists.
Bergwijn this season: 16 games, 5 goals, 0 assists.

And that’s with Ajax having a much better season than PSV.

If the Euros are moved to 2021 there's no reason the current season can't be finished though.

true but what about the transfer window etc.

Personally I think they should use this time delay and problems finishing the season to help minimise the disruption around the next world cup.

Never know this whole corna virus thing might just save our season assuming it isn’t cancelled or players don’t get it.. 3/4 weeks for Jose to work un interurpted with the squad chance for fatigued players to rest plus maybe maybe get Kane back. Just trying to think on the positive for once

Well if it's any consolation, one thing that will definitely grab the attention of ENIC, Levy and Joe Lewis will be tumbling share prices and a huge loss of revenue from EPL prize money and European football. Pochettino did a quite remarkable job maintaining all of those things through a period of minimal investment and neglect of his team, and I think Levy in paticular expected to carry on getting away with it when most sane people knew it would end in tears. I'm just hoping he doesn't tell us that 'lessons have been learned'.
I think your right that quote of "lessons have been learnt" has proven to be a crock of shit.

Thoughts on the suspension of the league until 3rd April

Assuming the league resumes and is not cancelled, yhere is a good chance Kane, Son, Bergwijn, Davies and Sissoko will be fit to play more games this season.
If the league does end up getting cancelled, would Liverpool be awarded the title?

Britain doesn't realise how serious this epidemic is, does it? Take it from someone who lives in the south of Europe, much closer to the epicentre: there will be no more football this season, unless we're talking from June on. The nightmare is just beginning. The crisis won`t hit the UK for few weeks yet. If you have any friends in Italy, just go and ask them. Especially in the north.

It would have to be completed by the end of June wouldn’t it? Otherwise it overlaps with the qualifying rounds for the CL and EL and the placings wouldn’t be known for those.

Good stats mate, quite suprised Ziyech has 0 assists is that really correct?!
Very different players though and anyone reccomened by the GOAT Van Der Vaart has to be an absolute baller.

My best friend is in Milan at college and said it's an absolute shit show. I'd expect that sports in Europe might not be happening for quite some time tbh

I’m not saying Bergwijn is getter, I’m saying that there’s justification why, with similar fees, we chose him.

Just watched Arsenal v Everton on MOTD2. Worrying to see both teams looking full of flair and goals. Ancelotti seems to have made quite an impact.
Ha ha ha , glacier spurs living up to his name and spamming this post 23 days after it was posted. I suppose at this pace you will get into March by Christmas.

I feel this season should be void this is not a vested interest view its just the logistics and problems that come with the playing on into June or July is just a disaster waiting to happen .
No1 playing three games a week would lead to injuries to players + exhaustion
No2.The players would have no break before next season .
No3 The contract situation of players like playing beyond their contractual time . Who is responsible if they get injured .
No4 The euro people and the premier league have rules about players being allowed to play beyond a certain contract date
No5 What happens to the transfer window ?
No6 It may not be possible to start a void season until lets say September .
I am sure problems can be added to this and the only sensible thing to do for the health of players and fans is to void this season and hope it can be restarted in August . People must stop this " the season must be finished view " its a short sighted view and a view that is all about the vested interest and no care taken for the health of the players and fans .
This whole thing is bigger than football and not to be used by people who want to see their team win things or get promotion .
I would not dream of putting my children or grandchildren at risk for the sake of football .
I have said before that these people going on about the integrity of football need to check the history of football and the use of integrity is sadly lacking . For that reason it would not surprise me if the managers of the game try to shoehorn the remaining games in a short space of time thus confirming no integrity cash is king .

Thought I'd bump this thread, considering we're only 4 pts off 5th place, which could well be enough for CL football (yeah, could probably do with changing the title of the thread  ).

I see that Man Utd's run in isn't too bad, although neither is ours.

Also, the matches are coming thick and fast; how will that benefit or hinder the teams in the mix? Presumably squad depth will start to tell by mid July?

Anyway, 5th place finish is something to aim for in this weird season!

COYS!

I’d be surprised if we climbed into the Top 5- Utd’s squad has more depth and their form has been convincing. But I think Wolves have a great shout to get top 5- they’re currently a better team than us, play much more cohesive, effective football and seem highly motivated. It’ll be a shame to drop out of Champions League football, but given how poor we’ve been this season, I’d say anywhere between the top 6-8 is about right.

Mourinho’s success or failure will probably be predicated on his ability to get us back into Champions League football for the 21-22 season. I think if it looks unlikely by Christmas, Levy will pull the trigger and the hiring and firing carousel will be back in full rotation

Wolves and Sheffield UTD are better than us. Hands down.
