Dear Members,

We would like to thank you for joining our group. Furthermore, we would like to say, that we started this not just to let off steam after recent disappointments of refereeing at top level.

Over many years, we found ourselves being subjected to “human error” by referees around the world, which touched us all as fans of THE BEAUTIFUL GAME.

Recent attempts by various Football Associations to convince FIFA to introduce goal line technology and video replays to determine referee’s decision making came to nothing, We, as fans, cannot stay silent anymore. If not us, people who enjoy, support and play football - do something to make a change, I do not know who will!

It is our belief, that given right response and support around the world we can make a difference!

We would like to ask you to invite anyone and everyone to join us!

Sincerely Yours,
True Football Fans.

Facebook groups always get results, almost as good as collecting a petition of signatures on a big cake and then eating it.

Thing is, Blatter is not alone. Platini, UEFA and all the main ref associations are on his side. They prefer to live in the dark ages.
Strangely, they don't mind tons of money being used to develop football etc but are dead against technology where it matter most: on the field!

Right, Firstly I'd like to start off by saying that I am against goal line technology. The argument that Blatter makes for not bringing it in is valid and not without logic. The intention is to keep football universally the same. How much will it cost for technology on a pitch to monitor if the ball crosses the line, something similar to the cyclops that is used at wimbledon? £10k? Probably a lot more? Maybe a little less? This would be no problem in the top leagues in nearly every nation, but not every nation. Then the further you go down the leagues the money gets tighter. The clubs in League 1 & 2 would feel the pinch, then do you put these on every pitch in the country, because lets face it, its still football and the rules are universal. Who pays for this? So this is a non runner.

Now officials behind the goal might be an option, but still, who pays for these people to stand behind the goals? When you get into junior football in Ireland you only have a referee and each team does the line on their side of the pitch, probably similar all over. You can use the same system for an official behind the goal but you're relying on the person to be impartial and that wouldn't be the case.

However, as regards Blatter. He has no idea of what grass roots football is, that parasite has never sat anywhere other than the corporate section of an "A" graded stadium. He doesn't understand the fan mentality. He is a politician who obtained his current status in a campaign not unlike a military coup. Ousting Joah Havelang from his seat with a smear campaign. If I were to walk into FIFA with a gun with 2 bullets I'd shoot Sepp twice and then pistol whip his corpse until it farted an apology for turning a game that belongs to the people into a business that is controlled by the few whose only passion is to bleed every last penny out of the people!

If this is the soap box id like to take a quick turn.

1.Refereeing mistakes, ive sat through a WC where it has become evident that if you can hold a game to 0-0 for around 80 minutes, at some point the man in black will make a decision in your teams favour of such crass stupity(almost to a point where it could be considered in total defiance of inhuman logic or plainly mentally retarded) and apparent to the entire world that the guy in charge is an accident waiting to happen. (you could also call it human error).

2. Diving, cheating, getting other players booked or sent off. All instances should be reviewed by a disciplinary panel if found to be 'bringing the game into disrepute' as these lying cheating fucks clearly are, they should get a ban for 1 game (across all football). Repeat offenders getting points until they face lengthy spells on the sidelines.

Unfortunately this WC has been marred by both cheating and ref mistakes to a point where i switched over during last nights game because i just cant accept this bullshit any longer, on a 1 match a week basis barely acceptable but every quarter final was marred by these decisions.

Goal line technology or goals in dispute reviews (they have big enough screens in most stadiums) and retrospective disciplinary action for suspected cheating will make this game good again.

I'm all for goal line technology in professional games wherever this type of technology can be afforded and if certain leagues can't, the stay with a ref and two linesman until they can.
I also 100% agree with Caco regarding slime ball Blatter......and Platini's heading that way, as once these fat cats reach the corporate positions within world football, Jack Warner from Trinidad is another one, they lose all sense of reality, living off those that pay their money at the turnstyles.

I don't see how there not being 'footie-cyclops' on every pitch is an argument against it on some pitches? Do they have it on every cricket pitch? Do they give a toss?
