Sanchez & N'dombele played very well IMO

Rest were average/not good

Aurier a liability anywhere near our box

Gazza complete brain fart really killed us just before half time

Son moronic to get himself sent off AGAIN

Eriksen hit the first man every time we had a set piece in the 2nd half - Really need a dedicated set piece taker in the first team. Really don't want to see Eriksen on the pitch/bench anymore unless he signs a new deal (which won't happen)

Lucas contributes nothing if he's not scoring.

Jose has to be brave and find places in the team for the new signings as they clearly of a higher technical ability than most of whats in the team right now in similar positions.

Gazzaniga - 1 - Brain dead
Aurier - 2 - Woeful, worst player in the squad
Sanchez - 6 - OK
Toby - 4 - Didnt deal well with anything
Verts - 3 - Looked like an old man out there
Dier - 2 - Not a midfielder
Sissoko - 6 - made some good runs forward at times
Lucas - 2 - General play is so so bad, couldn’t trap a bag of sand
Alli - 2 - Rubbish
Kane - 1 - Did he play?

Unfortunately we don’t have very many good players. Of that starting 11 I would say that 7 of them aren’t good enough for a top 6 side:

Gazza, Aurier, Vert (at LB), Dier, Sissoko, Alli and Moura.

Ndombele obviously is good enough so I make that 5 players I’m happy with. Every other player (apart from the youngsters) can all go to other clubs for all I care.

Sanchez the only player who looked like he cared. Our MOTM by a country mile.

Gazza - 0 - dreadful.
Aurier - 0 - totally pathetic.
Vert - 2 - got torn apart by Mount for crying out loud.
Toby - 5 - got shaken a bit by Abraham.
Sanchez - 7 - good game surrounded by morons.
Dier - 3 - just not good enough.
Sissoko - 3 - pretty crap.
Lucas - 1 - actually forgot he was playing in the second half.
Dele - 1 - nothing all game.
Kane - 1 - sat in Rudigers pocket and never left.

They outplayed us because we allowed them so much time and space with our tactics.

We needed to drop Alli back into CM and allow one CM to then go out and help protect the flanks and stopped them doubling up and playing round us.

Poor to not see any tactics changed throughout the match and Jose needs to take the blame.

But in reference to your comments and ratings, maybe look at things in a bigger picture, we made mistakes they took their chances but saying Alli isn't a top footballer is ludicrous.

We also should have had a penalty, and Mount could easily have been sent off for a high, studs up tackle on Dier in the first half.

All in all, Lampard set them up well and Mourinho just hoped we could get something out of it, but our midfielders never showed for the ball and put pressure on the front four as we just kept going long and playing to their strength.

Need to learn from this and move on, but N'Dombele, Lol Celso, and Eriksen should all be starting ahead of Dier and Sissoko as it just leaves us so imbalanced and unable to link the play from defence to attack.

Fair enough with your view, however which other of the top 6 and Leicester would Alli get in? Potentially Arsenal but that’s it?

Has anyone noticed, every time a former Spurs legend dies, we fail to turn up for the next game?

Remember the absolute shambles when Sir Bill dies, against Bolton, just for another example?

Sanchez at least tried and did most things quite well, also had to bail Aurier out on multiple occasions.
Sissoko put himself about but was badly overrun.

The rest can absolutely sod off after that complete no-show.

My youngest got me up at 2.30 this morning so the metaphoric Labrador dump that’s weighted in my skull for the last 17 hours hasn’t gone away.

Sanchez and Sissoko for me. But the Dier/Sissoko central midfield partnership needs eliminating. Equally, the 4231 formation with Dele in the 10 role needs an alternative so we can also set up with a 433. We’re too predictable currently and, seriously, if we don’t invest in the match day squad this window, a fullback (maybe two) and a decent CDM at the very least, then we deserve what we get

Completely unacceptable performance from the squad. Lacking in every area. The only player to put a decent shift in was Sanchez. Making up ground for mistakes made by others

Couldn’t string a set of passes together for the life of us. Moura was absolutely horrendous along with aurier.

Lack of depth at RB is extremely concerning. Aurier simply is not good enough. His small improvements since Jose came aren’t enough. Pushing forward with the attack to contribute is great if you can get back. But sissoko is playing half the game as a RB to cover for him. Leaving dier in the midfield to orchestrate. RB is must. Even for January. Really hope this proves a point to JM. Seems itk says otherwise though.

Tanguy needs to be starting over dier. Even if he can only last 50-70 minutes. GLC needs to be brought on instead of eriksen. I’d rather have a player trying for the club than a player ‘trying’ to put himself in the shop window. Which mind he is barely doing. Jan isnt what he used to be and either sess needs to be seen as the LB alternative or we need a new LB

Overall though. Absolutely horrible performance from 10 of the 11. Disappointed with the club veterans. There better be a demolition of Brighton on Boxing Day.

sanchez, tanguy and maybe sissoko gets the only rating today from me. everyone else gets a 0

I appreciate he hasn't had great form lately, but he's had long periods out injured. Apart from Man City and Liverpool, he starts in every single team. He's a young player and they all go through periods where their form is hot and cold.

He is a quality player and on his day is a game winner, what he will develop with age and experience is consistency.

Why do we keep sticking Eriksen on when behind, over and over again???

His dead ball deliveries were terrible today. With 10 men they NEED to be good.

Dier, surely, is gone.

Aurier. I've defended him to the hilt. No more. I was wrong.

Moura. He's an impact sub.

Sanchez was ok.

Ndombele looked good but the game was dead. Can't judge on that. He needs to start though. NEEDS to because at least he can make things happen.

We looked much better after Eriksen came on today, we could actually pass the ball finally.

Gazzaniga - 2 - Idiot. Could have just stood his ground and caught it. Until now he has been nice and steady but oh my gosh that was bad!
Aurier - 4- Needlessly gave away the corner and then was sleeping when they played a short one. Poor and we need to upgrade a.s.a.p.
Toby - 6 - Average but surrounded by calamity.
Sanchez - 4 - Looked hopeless on the ball and kept giving it away. Not helped by the CM not turning up until the 80th minute.
Verts - 6 - Average
Dier - 3 - Not a CM.
Sissoko - 6 - Not a CM.
Dele - 6 -Needs to be a 2nd striker playing very high or left out.
Son - 5 - Did little other than get sent off. Frustration which I can understand given he got such poor service and ended up playing as a LWB.
Moura - 6 - Did little. Tried hard, but did little.
Kane - 5 - Poor, Missed a fairly chance he;d normally score and was totally bossed by their CBs.

Ndombele - 8 - Needs to start. Our vest player by a country mile.
Eriksen - 6 - WTF was he taking the corners?
Rose - 6 - par.

Mourinho - 3 - Schooled by Lampard big time. It was obvious Fat Frank had out thought him after the first 5 minutes - but he did not change anything, Subs way too late. He cannot legislate for Aurier switching off or Gazza losing his mind to give away the worst penalty I have ever seen conceded, but he picked that team and he left changed tings way too late. Was like watching the final throes of Pochettino's reign.

I know all the noise coming out of the club is that we don't need to spend and Jose just needs time. Sorry, watching this team - and MOurinho has been exclusively using Poch's old team - they're at the end of the road and need a major freshen up. We need a new LB, a new RB and a new DCM as a minimum. The most disappointing thing today was we had no fight in us. Out thought AND out fought. We look weak, heavy and slow. Foyth, Sessegnon, Lo Celso, Ndombele - all need to be used in a major freshen up of this team.
Nail meet head...this is so true. Jose is playing Pochs team essentially and i dont get it. New manager more often than not make a couple of profound team changes to reflect that it’s now their team and thus has not happened and is the root cause for a lot of our troubles.
