Lots of good performances out there today. Lucas, Reguilon, Hojbjerg, Vinícius, immediately spring to mind.

Voted Lucas as motm. Thought his direct running really hurt LASK and they could never figure out if he was going to run inside or outside and for the most part was able to clear his defender with ease. Also once again great in the air despite his height.

Davies might be the best CB at the club. Shit opponents though so it's hard to tell.
Would be brilliant if after so many years of slightly-above-averageness Davies transformed into a legendary CB and solved our defensive woes.

I'm not holding out hope, but c'mon Ben, prove your worth.

Toss up between Lucas or Vinicius for MOM, but giving it to the latter due to feeling sorry for him being starved of chances.

Should’ve scored the one chance he did get but his assists were both excellent.

P.S. I fucking love Reguilón.

Good points
Moura another good game MOM
PEH is superb probably our best buy .
Doc improving and looking solid
Vinny good sub for Kane and may be even better then that
Davies better at CB then LB
So many attacking options from all ares of the pitch
We might not win anything but even if we dont we will enjoy this squad which is the best we have had for donkeys years

Seeing Davies at left centre back he made a lovely pass from the back to start up the move for one of the goals.

I've gone for Vinicius. 2 assists, plus created 2 clear chances that probably should have been scored (Lamela & Alli), and made some very good runs that should ahve been picked out. For his first game, his awareness and anticipation of his teammates was very impressive.

PEH for me. If our CBs played with his awareness and intensity we might be leading the PL.

Nice to see us see out a match with proper depth

PEH gets it for me for having a chunk knocked out of his head and only stopping play cause the other guy was hurting. Constantly giving direction, great asset for the team

good solid clear win... Sid was great, Moura busy and Regullion is a real talent. BIg shout for Davies too

Great seeing Bale start too, nice watching even if he's not back to full strength yet

Many of the comments didnt mention Bale at all. I guess its a polite way of saying he wasnt good
mentally all there, you could see his body couldn't quite do what his brain was asking of it. Just time needed for fitness.

I’m not going to pick holes in anybody but I will say that PEH is probably now our most important player. We have back up all over the pitch but if he’s injured Winks and Sissoko are not in his class

I thought the whole team did well. I actually gave it to Sanchez. Felt he had a really strong performance, a lot of his decision making seemed better. Seems to have taken heart from Jose's backing.

Pluses - most of it, but I’d pick out Vinícius, Lucas, and Ben Davies as particular positives.

Minuses - nothing major, but the drop from Gio or Tanguy to Winks is a big one. Winks as usual was tidy enough but he doesn’t impose himself on a game - if Tanguy had played I think we would have been 4 up at half time.

Hart, one shank with his left side, looks far more comfortable on the ball than Pep would have us believe. Looks calm between the sticks and Dele with everything routinely.

Doherty was a Dynamo up and down his flank, looked well with Bale and was unlucky not to assist Clarke. Should’ve done better with that early cruising opportunity when Vinicius was on the penalty spot but he delayed.

Sanchez was comfortable, marked well and covered his fullback nicely.

Davies was very good, both defensively and playing the ball out.

Reguilón was again just plain fun to watch. Loved his jinking run in the build up to our second. Feisty git too.

Winks started a tough sloppy but he improved and looked more confident as the game wore on. Too many fouls.

Højbjerg was again complete. Crisis decisive passing, snuffed out danger, manful battling. One poor touch in dangerous territory but otherwise was our heartbeat again.

Bale was fine. Clearly not fit yet, but even when he is I don’t expect we’ll ever see him charging around like an infant spaniel again. Even at half mast he showed some gorgeous moments of class, particularly his reverse pass to Doherty and his outstep cross for the own goal. Loved his Son like refusal to be dispossessed when he scrapped for ball that had got away second half.

Lamela frustrated me tonight. Good decisive pass to Bale building up to our second but overall he was guilty of dallying and holding onto the ball too often.

Lucas scored a good goal, energy was through the roof and the way he killed two high balls was magic. Good game.

Vinicius messed up his only real chance but otherwise was great and could have had double the assists. Good link and hold up play, good passing, good skill, good player.

Lo Celso and Dele both looked determined and sharp. Sissoko was Sissoko. Son took his goal beautifully. Clarke has begun his ascent to being his generation’s greatest entertainer.
