Second half showed what happens when you play on the front foot, and then Gil coming on showed what happens when you have a central playmaker.

Gil and Bentacur were superb. Got me Gil edges it because the really upped the tempo of our attack and just kept attacks moving forward.

Your forgetting Conte is a winner. Can’t you see how he is inexorably making us better and on the road to win lots of things. So much better than the losing stuff that Poch produced. Sure we got our highest points total ever, sure we reached the CL final for the one time in our history, sure we scored lots of goals and conceded few but we never won anything … unlike the great success of the last few years.

I dont think we do though, they have better technical players than we have. We have higher profile players yes but a lot of our team are not able to resist a press because of their inability to control a football under pressure and make a successful pass. Sporting have players with more technical ability throughout their side but lack the top class cutting edge we have with the likes of Kane.

This is why we are the least press resistant team in the top 6. We need better players is the bottom line.
