Where is Tanganga? My vote goes to him purely on the shoulder charge that culminated into our ONLY positive highlight today

We were completely out-played all areas of the pitch. I think neither Sess nor Tangaga are good enough at this level now; hopefully they learnt something from this. General observations:

GLC: the only person who looks comfy on the ball under pressure. No GLC = no midfield.
Moura: tried and tired; can't ask for more. He can be a threat, but doesn't have the capability to carry a team, as is asked of him.
Dele: similar to Moura, but was tactically fouled constanty. Didn't react so good on him. Couldn't carry a team at this level.
Lamela: Quiet game; decent work rate and press, but not enough goals and assists in his game.
Aurier: disappointed that his crosses hardly cleared the first man; Red Bull came down this side constantly in the first half, so they know he is a defensive liability.
Winks: ok squad player, can't count on him in big games.

Lo Celso but even he wasn’t at his best today. Dele tried. We need 6 players this summer.

The soft drink didn't even have to get out of second gear really. Could've smashed us 7 or 8 if they didn't hold back

I thought we were much more positive even tough we lost, there was a moment in the second half where Dier drove into midfield from defence a move I haven't seen from our back line in donkeys.

I thought everyone did their best but we weren't good enough....we were far behind Red bull in quality

As expected ..
Yep. I've intentionally avoided the match thread tonight to stay away from the reactionary peaks and troughs, or mainly troughs in this instance. In recent league games and the cup knock out to Norwich I've been a bit disinterested watching our own performances, but in tonight's game I thought we really gave it a go from minute one and therefore feel more gutted with the end result. It was a full blooded frenetic game and whilst us fans may have been calling for a more aggressive approach perhaps this shows what happens when we open up so much... credit to a very decent team in RB Leipzig who had pace and composure in abundance to take advantage.

To get back on topic with this thread, i would say we had ok 6 out of 10 performances across our side. Fine margins but Hugo stood out in a bad way as on other nights the first two goals could have been saved. We severely lack the cutting edge up front with the injuries, and since Eriksen has gone we don't have the ability to have a crack with half-chances from outside the box either.

We tried - and I couldn't fault the effort - but failed

What has happened to Lloris? Glued to his line these days. We started brightly for 5-10 mins then one long ball, Lloris stays glued, Dier tries an acute back pass (from 2 yards from the corner line - that’s how simple it would have been for Lloris to go get it), and they get a cheap corner and we’re under pressure. Shortly after they score.

6 for all and Jose for effort, shouldn't have expected more with players available. Daniel still a zero for january window.
