Eriksen ran the show again, plus gave us goals. MOTM.
Dier broke up play, was a pivot, and drove forward. Excellent - his best game of the season..
Sissoko looked a premiership player.
Lamela not only used his right foot but scored with it, which is a very rare combination indeed.

However all these ratings have to be qualified - Swansea were dreadful.
The alternative view is we made them look dreadful.

One of the more one sided MOTM votes this season for me, Eriksen was sublime.

It’s saddening to see how obstinate some can be regarding Sissoko. I made the observation last week that he seems to be growing in confidence, and today he kept that up. It’s interes to note that the team seem to have a great deal of trust in him, as they were passing to him a great deal as the game progressed. Tells a tale that far more than the bile filled rhetoric we read on here all too regularly. I love seeing players turn things around, Lamela did it, now Sissoko is doing the same.
On Lamela, he had a great game today, finding pockets of space everywhere and exploiting them mercilessly. Tenacity, class and a lovely curled and confident finish with his right foot. Who knew?

I’ve seen multiple pundits saying that Swansea were shocking in the aftermath, without a single one recognising that we relentlessly hassled them throughout the 90 minutes. It was evident that the players knew they had a decent break coming up, so left it out on the pitch. We were pressing them in extra time at 3-0 up FFS!

Lastly on Moura. I’m really liking what I’m seeing here. Danny Mills actually made a very good observation that he’s not up to speed yet with the English game, so many things he’s doing well that are just not quite there yet. I’m tipping him to be our standout player next season with a Poch preseason under his belt. I’m very excited to see him tear this league apart, as I’m obviously convinced he will do.

Good viewing today with some really lovely Football played throughout. Looking forward to MOTD.

I'm not saying he was bad today (far from it, he was decent) but I am baffled - BAFFLED - that anyone would vote Sissoko MOTM today in a game that was absolutely run by Lamela and Eriksen. Definitely one of Sissoko's better games for us and overall he was a respectably decent 7/10, but I can't comprehend anyone who thought he was on the same stellar level as our star AMs today, who definitely stood head and shoulders above the rest of the team.

Onions.

It’s because some people are comparing this game to his usual games.

Sissoko did well today I thought. Some decent passes out wide and a few important defensive contributions. Undoubtedly his best game for Spurs but the only criticism I’ll say today is that often his control in the centre wasn’t great and a more alert opposition would’ve won a few balls back off his shins. As it turned out, his miscontrol sometimes helped him start a counter! But if he played like that all the time I’d have slightly fewer heart attacks when he’s named in the team.

Eriksen MOTM obvs. Love Lamela and his unique roll of the ball while he’s running. Vertonghen was in control at all times. Vorm was excellent.

Agree 100% with that assessment. (y)

Lamela was pivotal, Eriksen ran things, but I think Lamela drives the tempo with his sharp bursts.

Think Lucas is a little short of the lungs, but looks like he'll get to the others level next season, hopefully.

Think today backed up that against many teams we should be looking at:

Now we know we don’t need Kane anymore, sell him for £200m and take £500 off each season ticket for next season. Sorted.

I thought Sanchez had quite a few shaky moments and was even bullied physically a few times by Abraham first half.

Moura showed glimpses of genius, but overall had an average game, although was a little unlucky with the run of the ball at times. He actually looked a bit frustrated and a look of ‘why is it so cold and the pitch so bobbly?’.

++ Eriksen
+ Vorm, Sissoko, Verts, Lamela
<> Davies, Trippier, Son, Dier, Moura
- Sanchez

MOTM: Eriksen is the real heart of our team, Lamela is excellent as well, but Eriksen is just better

Vorm: Keep saying this: he is the best backup goalkeeper in the world by a mile

Davies > Trippier

Sanchez - Poor game in general. But he did make a very important header

Jan - as usual. Rock.

Dier - How could the goalkeeper save that shot?

Sissoko - He is really good today. I think he knows (or poch tells him) that he is shite in passing. So until we are 3-0 up he just passes the balls as simple as possible. The best way to utilise sissoko (though still not a very good player)

Lamela - Suddenly realise he has a right foot. He would be a world class player if he can use his right foot more often

Eriksen - Eriksen FC

Lucas - Good game, but no coherent linkage between him and other teammates. Really looking forward to him next season with a proper pre-season. And I think he will be very important to us next season, given that he is unlikely to be in the world cup squad (plus Son likely going to Asian games)

Son - I think he is still ok today. Knows his job. Playing a different striker role compared Kane and Llorente. But he creates rooms for our attacking midfielders

I think using his right foot surprised everyone. Everyone assumes he will only shoot when on his left. Good game from him
