Believe that is the second time that has happened Rose snubbing Watford , while people struggle through the pandemic the likes of Rose & Ozil will just keep picking up their wages.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

I thought that he was keen on playing. He was linked with Middlesbrough too but that seemed to come to nothing.

It's his choice. Maybe he's had enough of football but you're a long time retired.

Didn't he say he's prepared to sit on his contract at Spurs?

yes he did. I begrudge it but actually he’s well within his rights. It could mean that he becomes untouchable as his career draws to an end as Chairmen think he’s too much trouble. Then again, there are chairmen who overspend of duds, hire the same round of managers that flop season after season.

He's going to get paid regardless, unless he's done with football and retires at the end of the season I really don't understand why he wouldn't go out on loan? Gives him the chance to show he still has something to offer and might get himself into a better position to negotiate a longer/better contract and sign-on fee when he leaves for free.

Of course he's within his rights. He has a contract and he's entitled to see it out. He could have gone on loan though and had his wages paid for playing. Danny Rose though is too good for the Championship.

He's a bit like Bill Murray in groundhog day, wakes up every morning thinking it's still 2016 when he was a top player.

His attitude has been stinking the place out for 2 years +, and I can't wait till he gone now. This is the legacy he's leaving behind now for me.

Yeah he can just fuck off. Don't want to see him back at all after his contract runs out.

How long do we have to wait to get shot of him? Osd that players are happy to burn their bridges like this.

No doubt we'll read all about it when he's out of contract and spilling the beans to the newspapers.

If he really wanted to play he'd go. Obviously he'd be on less money but I'm sure we could've paid up the difference to end his contract, or do a loan deal supplementing his wages.
But clearly he thinks he's above the Championship. Pity none of the other 19 Premier League clubs share his view.
