Don't quite get all this paranoia about sitting in an football stadium with social distancing , what will be safer , sitting in an open air football stadium for 90 minutes or congregating in a pub in an enclosed space or worse still sitting in an aeroplane for a couple of hours with recycled air even if it is supposed to be filtered.

Once again statements from the club are a little bit confusing , on one hand it states ALL ST's and members will enter the stadium via mobile device, for those without a suitable device guidance will follow , presumably the guidance will be go out and buy a new phone for a ridiculous amount of money because if you can get in without a mobile device then ALL is incorrect. No mention of hospitality guests how they will get in and if your mobile dies on way to the ground presumably no way of getting in. :banghead:

I'm at least as concerned about the bus trip to get there as I am about the match itself. There's plenty of evidence that most transmission takes place indoors, when in groups for 5-15 minutes or more and in poorly ventilated spaces.

But there's a considerable difference between my early-morning walk through empty residential streets and parks, where I can stay 3m or more from any individual passer-by, and sitting for 2 hours in a group of people who are shouting, singing and spraying droplets and aerosols everywhere. It doesn't sound ideal.

Agreed , I get the bus there as well, keep wearing the masks and using hand sanitiser after touching anything on the bus has to be the sensible thing to do.

I haven't been on a bus or tube train since March. I haven't been inside a building, except my own house, since March. The latter changes tomorrow, as I have a medical appointment. But I'm going to walk there, as there's nowhere to park. Or I might take the car halfway and walk the rest.

so basically the club are saying give us 20% of the value of a season ticket, then pay the rest and you get in a ballot to attend some matches, reduced capacity 'n public transport risks to and from.....

There's a lot if, buts and maybes at the moment so just wait until the government give guidance on when the stadium can open and what the capacity can be, then the club can communicate the full process then.

I'd wait a little longer before moaning about 20% and ballots to be honest. Wait till the club have a fuller understanding of what they can and can't do.

Of the 1m social distance is still in place then I'm assuming for every one person they'll take up three at least and that's assuming you can use say the row in front of that individual. 30k is optimistic, maybe 15 to 20 at most I think...

I would have liked it if they had offered people the opportunity to say forego next season and hold over the seats for the following season. They have offered it for people with covid conditions but should have extended to others in my view.

it's 2 metres not 1. It is 1+ with mitigation which means masks, or screens between people. No shouting or singing because of aerosol projection. I am really not sure how this will ever work

Is this 20% payment on top of the repayment for the matches we have not attended this year since lock down?

You're right but I meant that there is no way spurs will allow anyone entering without a mask etc hence 1m+ but agreed not sure how that will work given food and drink will be eaten and drunk without a mask on or singing etc.

Even if one or two rules are relaxed eg allow singing with masks etc will be difficult.

I don't blame football for wanting to bring fans back and doing anything they can to do that but to ask for a deposit which won't be returned if you can't attend is tough on those who may not have that money readily available. Particularly not to have it for a year

Footballs going to be a different experience that is for certain

I think you can use the repayment to pay the deposit. I'm owed around 900 quid but not sure what would happen with the 600 quid after the deposit is paid.

That is sort of what I was thinking. But why did they not refer to our refund in their email?Their silence always gives me cause to worry.

Supporters can make the initial payment with credit held on their One Hotspur Ticketing account.

What is so hard to understand? The remaining money will clearly be used to pay towards the other 80%?

I think a few people need to reread the email a little slower next time. (y)

Not saying it's correct, but the Texas Medical Association chart does state that going to a sports stadium is in the highest risk category, so I'd personally not consider it paranoia. I'm asthmatic, so am in the high risk category and for that reason have been stricter during lockdown than quite a few. As others have said, I too have not used public transport since mid March so it's the getting to the game as well as the stadium itself that's concerning. As much as I'd like to, am not contemplating going to the pub or getting on a plane anytime soon.

I'll likely renew and just won't enter any ballots until my risk appetite changes or there's a vaccine.

My credit balance disappeared as well mate so don't worry, not just you. It was there last month so sure it's just temporary whilst they sort stuff out for the renewals.

I did read it carefully Nothing is hard it just isn’t specific as to the main refund. Many season ticket holders will have credits still in their account from Selling seats earlier in the season etc. As we are all due a large refund you would think they would mention that this would be knocked off the 20% My question is still valid. I think the club want us to deposit 20% on top of whatever credit limit we have. Especially as mine and others have disappeared from our accounts?

Your question is not valid as you haven't read the email or my post correctly?!

The club does not want you to deposit 20% on top of any credit you have! ?‍♂️

Yes. It’s all strange.
So the club are sending out demands for deposits next week. After three months I finally got my credit back from them this week and now they want the money back in their bank account. On their record there is no way we will get this back in a hurry
