This isn’t a sport any more it’s a lottery. I think I’m done with the Premier League until they sort the refs out. They are a complete joke, they apply the letter of the law in such a draconian manner when looking at goals, ruling out anything they possibly can. Then are so completely inconsistent when making other rulings such as the elbow on Son, if they applied the rules so strictly as they did for goals, he’d have been sent off.

Every single game seems to be hampered by idiots like Michael Oliver, and piggy Moss last night.

Not too concerned. Playing well. Bergie offering us something we haven't had in the no 10 role when alli playing. We are much the better team, Sheffield are industrious but come the end of the game our quality will tell.

They scored from their one half chance and we twatted away about 5 promising moves and had a goal controversially disallowed. We've done better than the scoreline suggests.

Having an elbow smashed into your face by an opposing player = fine by VAR.

We still seem really narrow. Even when the full backs are overlapping they are a long way in and there are just so many defenders to pick through.

Whilst I understand the refs applying the rules re. handball leading up to the goal, but it's quite incredible they then don't return to the clear foul on Moura that caused the handball in the first place. Bad luck combined with horrific officiating

I'll be honest, those two decisions just make me feel like what's the point.

Exactly how I feel. The following ten minutes I lost interest.

You could see it affected the players too.

They have to do something about this. It's absolutely scandalous the way they use it. Replay after replay to find the reason not to allow the goal. There's no common sense behind it, which was the whole point.

Yet another game ruined by inconsistent incomprehensible decisions by refs on ground and in a studio. Fine if the law says Moura's handball rules out the goal (even though it's not his fault as he was fouled) then at least fucking communicate and pay the freekick.

Norwood has to go for that. Again - no communication between officials.

It just makes it very hard to enjoy football when shit like this happens every single week.

We deserve to be winning this. Disgrace that our goal was ruled out because of a foul by their player, worst var decision I’ve seen and none of the angles show the ball clearly and obviously hit Lucas arm. I’m trying to dissect their goal but it was just a good move, the only Sheffield good move. Should’ve also been a second yellow for Norwood, if not a straight red.

Dier imperious, Bergwijn very comfortable at 10.

VAR call was bullshit, but we know by now that you will get them against you at some point, that shouldn't mask our deficiencies.

From the off our intensity and mindset hasn't been good enough. Just dawdling about with no urgency. Whenever a moment has happened and we have a sniff of a chance the decision making or technical ability has not been there. I'd already thought a few times we looked a bit open and the goal was just shit, gets worked from their left into a vacant midfield, then cut back from the right and still a vacant midfield. You will concede goals when that happens at this level.

Lo Celso for me has been most emblematic of this in the first half, had a good burst at the very end there but otherwise has waddled around the pitch dribbling passes about and often getting us into trouble or turning the ball over. Kane and Son have been woeful, the other two up top have at least sporadically threatened and beat a man.

Across the pitch just need to find some oomph and quality.

I did love what a commentator said yesterday at the Chelsea game, something like *no one is celebrating that goal, we are waiting to see if VAR chalks it off...again.* That is how I feel about scoring goals right now. The heart and soul is being ripped out of Football.

I’m struggling to understand what the powers that be want from this game. I honestly believe going by these standards you could probably find a reason to disallow every single goal ever scored. Using ultra slow motion to check whether the ball grazed an arm is not football. It’s still not even clear that it did so how can you disallow it!!!
