I believe the media circus that surrounded us in regards to Harry and England cost us dearly. Signing Beckham would be like inviting the self same circus to bend us over again.

Beckhams mental strength and experience would be immense. Countless times for club and country he has delivered when needed. Financially it would be a bad move, but could be a stroke of genius to push us for top honours.

Also in the PL he has like 150 assists in less then 300 games!

but as others have said where would he even play, so no point.

If we're looking to bolster our commercial side surely signing Beckham is a no brainer.I still firmly believe hes got a lot to offer playing wise too.Im hoping were his next club and its announced on Thursday

Fuck and No come to mind

the db machine is something we don't need

how about we just win some trophies and regularly qualify for europe to raise our profile instead of signing a fading star I jus can't stand the whole diva personna and all the fake shit that comes with him

With AVB, Beckham, Verts and Scotty we'd be the best looking club in the world

Entitled to your opinion but Lennon > Beckham all day

Beckham doesn't play RW anymore, hasn't for years

Beckham > Livermore , Huddlestone, Jenas, Bentley

We are very reliant on Scott Parker now that Sandro is out, Beckham would be a good backup for Scott Parker for the rest of the season - coming on around the 75 min stage and playing in the Europa League

They haven't been sunning themselves in LA for the last 5 years and only playing the occasional game of soccer

No but remarkably have a reduced training regime & play the occasional football game in England and still do so very well when called upon. In the last 5 yrs one of these retired for half a season & Beckham was loaned to AC Milan in the MLS off season.

Anyway.... The MLS is a poor league compared to the Prem but your comment really is irrelevant. Beckham probably plays & trains as much as those two.

In reality we don't need him, those wages would be best used elsewhere.

Its got nothing to do with training. It's intensity. As you state the MLS is poor, probably comparable to League One. Beckhams hasn't been loaned to a top side for a few seasons now so he won't be anywhere near the level to compete at a top side. The game will simply just pass him by.

If we are entitled to our opinions why is my comment dumb? And when yours is childish internet jargon. Who knows if Beckhams winning mentality, leadership and odd cameo or freekick may have even kept us in the top 3 last year? He's not the player he was and i'd certainly say no now, but i doubt you even rated him when he was in his prime.
