Is there one? I checked the graveyard that is general sport but couldn't see one (feel free to move this there if you need to Mods).

Been a massive snooker fan ever since I was about 10 years old but this is the first championship I've missed the opening rounds of. Anybody else following it?

My money is on the local lad Judd Trump.

I can't stand Judd Trump and my favourite has always been Ronnie O'Sullivan, the man is a genius as shown yesterday.

My money as always will be on Ronnie, but I wouldn't mind Trump winning. The boy is class on the table. :D

O'Sullivan is in imperious form this afternoon...

Currently 6-0 up and cruising...

If you are anything at all interested in snooker you should be watching this...

Big snooker fan, used to play a bit too so it amazes me what some of these guys can do.

I watched this online at work this afternoon ( hope my boss isn't a member of SC!)...

O'sullivan was unbelievable, almost a perfect session of snooker. Always been a big Ronnie fan, even when he used to behave like a bit of an arrogant knob. Lives round the corner from me too, so even more reason to support him.

Ronnie was unbelievable. His pot success rate was 97% for a large part of the session.

I think Ding will win it because, correct me if I'm wrong, he's on the easy side of the draw where all of the big seeds have gone out. In saying that, Ronnie will be unstoppable if he plays anywhere near to what he did today. How did he play in the previous rounds because I haven't seen much of him until today?

He's looked very solid in the previous rounds. His long potting isn't the best, it hasn't been for a few years though, but when he's in and around the reds and black he's looked virtually unstoppable so far.

If Ronnie wins this and gets a 5th world title, it's getting him nearer to where a player of his talent should have been, he could have won so much more in his career. Imagine if he'd had the drive that Hendry had, a win at all costs mentality.

12-4 and they'll have an evening session. Bet Ronnie is annoyed about that, but it's his own fault. A bit of the old, impatient Ronnie in those last frames. Taking too risky shots or being too casual on some easy ones in order to try and get it over and done with quickly.

Yes. For me personally he's the greatest. Certainly the most naturally talented ever. There is still a strong argument for Hendry as greatest though. The guy was a fucking machine. A snooker-playing robot sent back through time. He just won and did so for the best part of a decade.

All depends on how Ronnie holds up. If he's on it and he's looked pretty bloody good so far, even with the odd rough edge in each match, i can't see past him getting his 5th. Would be the first to win it back to back since Hendry too.

Ronnie 3-1 up at mid-session interval. He's been almost flawless so far. The one game Trump won was from a respotted black after a draw frame.

I'm staggered this is him after a yr out of competition. I mean, he's not playing a qualifier having a worldy here. He's playing Judd Trump FFS and he's got a lead, albeit slender.

My mind is boggled.
