Heung-Min Son hinted at his ever-increasing responsibilities in the squad after hitting the winner against Watford on Sunday. Famous for his smile and positive outlook on life, Sonny is 29 now, and a key player who has been at Spurs for six years. Indeed, only Hugo Lloris (34) and Matt Doherty (29, born in January, 1992) are older than Sonny (29 in July, 1992).

We've done fantastically well to bring down the average age of the squad, but keep hold of the natural leaders.

At 29, I would hope he's close to being the oldest.

It wasn't that long ago that a player at 29 was considered as entering their peak years, nowadays it's seen as being old.
I understand that the game (and fitness/demands) have changed over the past 20 years but jeez, that makes me feel ancient! ??
