I don’t want to blame Levy too soon. But Doherty as I predicted in 1 half of football is just absolutely helpless against left wingers with pace, this is what happens when you buy an attacking RWB and play him in a back 4.
PEH looks so confused too. I think he’d look a lot better if he just sat

Looks like Ndombele of all people (who'd have thought it) was the one to finally go "you know what, fuck it...."
He received the ball earlier and looked up to make a pass only to see zero movement, he passed it sideways and screamed in frustration.

He's certainly not the problem.

If Mourinho doesn't do anything here, tactically, it's a real worry.

Just because we scored doesn't justify that shambles in the first half.

It's because the tactics are fucked up.

We are playing a high line with no pressing from the front as a unit.

Which means Saints are easily playing out from the back and able to play in forwards making runs in behind.

Wish people would stop blaming the players when it's clearly a shambles of a system.

It looks that way. We’ll score goals like we did when it comes together because we’ve great quality in attack but we looked a mess for most of the game. I’m not sure what we were trying to do out there.

If we continue like that second half we won’t be winning games today.

So many flaws in the way the team is operating.
1. We need PEH to sit infront of defence and stay there. How many times Southampton were allowed to run at the defence unchallenged was frightening.
2. Ndombele needs to get on the ball more. We see flashes of his brilliance but only flashes because we're bypassing midfield and playing long ball. In part our tactics are counter productive and ndombele needs to get fitter and make himself available and dictate.
3. We lack that creativity and tempo dictator in midfield. We need GLC back in the starting 11 sooner rather than later and for what its worth id rather we spend 40million on a top class creative midfielder to provide service to our front men rather than a back up striker at this point in time.
4. Overall our hunger and work rate is non existent and I suppose its always been a spurs thing but we just never seem to be able to tackle very wellm

I love Jose's thinking. "How can I spice up a team that showed woeful pressing in the first match? I know, I'll ask Dier to play in a high defensive line..."

Good goal but nothing else good to say. We have been totally outplayed and out fought. Our game plan seems to be hold tight and hit them on the break but they are just carving us open time and time again. Ndombele has had a few nice moments, but our midfield has been awful as a unit. I'd get Lamela on for Moura, be nice to see someone putting in a bit of effort.

feel sorry for Kane . he's always the one giving the type of pass that he himself would like to be on the end of.

Ruben? The one at Benfica who looks snappy in YouTube videos playing out but when you watch him often makes silly errors? He'd be decent if we had peak Jan or Toby next to him, but he's not the answer right now.

by the sound of it, David Luiz in disguise

Winks playing with so much baggage in himself. Like a sense of self doubt. Very weak mentality to play in Mourinho team. I'm surprised Mourinho is still considering him in starting XI at all TBH.

We have three more games in the next seven days. I would imagine part of the selections at the moment are more to do with rotation and squad management than anything else.

As for Winks he doesn’t look fit. He’s usually everywhere and working his bollocks off. He’s not at it today, and wasn’t at it last week.

If you actually think Sissoko should come on at HT when we need to score a goal, you don’t watch enough Spurs
