Toby against Richarlison was scary last week, we need one of our CBs to have pace, Sanchez makes sense.

With no Bale for a month I think there is a lot on the line today.
Will Jose decision to drop Dele encourage him to better things?
Will we see another double pivot with Winks and Hojbjerg? Or will Winks move up to help link midfield with the forwards?
What will NDombele look like after a start? Fitness, effort, linking the lines?
Will Moura our in a performance to show his value?
Can Sanchez and Dier cut it as a pairing
And in general will we hear less of the ‘lazy’ Spurs and full time. Jose seemed slightly fed up and on the players last week (rightly so maybe)
A bizarre ‘Big Game’ for our season imo

I like that midfield three, especially with the amount of games/fitness issues. It has a balance that we’ve missed for a while. Hope they click. COYS!

Pace yes composure no,that clearance on Thursday that led to the corner and then to the goal; he fills me with dread at times.

Doubt ali is being sold. But hope he is being sent a strong message about attitude and effort.
If he is not selected or in the squad against Leyton Orient, and it's not Covid-19 related and he is not carrying an injury I would say it's a fair bit more that a strong message. That's when I'd have cause for concern, so I will wait until then and see what happens before coming to any conclusions that there's more to it.

Really don't think Winks and Hojbjerg should ever really play together but I'm glad Ndombele is getting a chance. Only he can change his fortunes here, all we can do is give him chances.

I’ll take my thoughts to the Dele thread but I don’t have an issue with him either being dropped or sold. He’s been fairly inconsistent and his poor retention/ distribution isn’t suited for the style Mourinho is trying to implement. If selling him raises funds for the creative midfielder mentioned by ITK lately, I’d go with that without too much angst. And I don’t dislike him as a player, he’s just much more of a luxury item in a team trying to play quick counters and better suited to the 2015-18 style of play we’ve now moved away from

I don't think there's anything to be speculated with Dele left out of the squad. He's been poor and possibly trained poorly - so maybe he's less deserving to play than others on the bench

He doesn't have the passing and the composer that Toby has.

Hope he has a good game regardless.

He has the pace and the height though and he will win ariel duels something that Toby doesn't do, Dier can do the passing.

On first glance I didn't even notice Dele wasn't included in the line up or amongst the substitutes. I don't think he is being lined up to be sold but his form and profile will no doubt cause a stir.

Go go Tanguy!

If we could miraculously have the Dele of old back... But I’ve now lost most hope of that happening.

The optimist in me feels he’d link up really well with Bale though...
