Great quality from tanguy, but we were shit largely down to the game plan. We tried pressing and tried to get on the front foot, but we had no idea what to do with the ball. We pushed both fullbacks high but didn’t know how to keep the ball, so we were countered and were short at the back. We either need to keep the ball or play strictly on the counter vs their very high line, which was very successful for us after the restart. Right now we’re doing neither, but 1-1 so come on boys!

This is what I hate about Jose. No philosophy just sit back let them have the ball and count on good players to create something.
They should be training in patterns. It’s not fluke that KDB and TAA find themselves free in a position to cross with someone coming in at the back post. They are drilled. Every player knows what they need to do at certain trigger points.

most been nearly a year we should be seeing his game plan.

we need someone that wants to play on the front foot. If we have the ball they can’t score that’s what worked for Poch.

cant just keep buying players. Train the ones you have

I know it's still early days for him with us, but PEH doesn't look like the typical DM we are craving for.
His head is in two minds. Go forward and leave Winks exposed and helpless, or protect the defence, leaving the big gap between the midfield and forward line.

A consistent pairing of Tanguy and Lo Celso and a leader in defence will put his mind more at ease I reckon.

Well done Ndombele for creating that. Watched him get dragged off for LonCelso though and Winks once again get away with playing fucking shite and offering nothing

Going forward we work well with the right players/tempo, defensively we look hugely suspect especially down the wings, something has to change tactically or formation wise

Will Jose be bold at half time and make a positive change? He's been gifted an opportunity to turn this around.

If Ndombele builds on this I think we need to prioritise our money on a starting CB over midfield creativity. Not confident in us defensively at all

I think we're giving them way to much respect and playing far too deep. I hope 2nd half we push forward and kick on!

We’ve not been as bad as the stats suggest - we have actually had the ball in the net three times.

Let’s get Gio on for Winks and stop pissing about

Regardless of the goal, how can we be satisfied playing that way? I honestly can’t remember ever having a period of sustained pressure in their half. Same every week. Jose won’t last much longer. Pathetic approach. I thought the game was about glory? Playing with a swagger? This is verging on anti football for a third game in a row. We don’t even look solid while absorbing pressure.
If we looked controlled in our defending, I could bare it but we look so shaky its not even funny

We are still very timid. Our defenders need to start cleaning a few out, and our midfield need to start demanding the ball. Not good enough from Winks and Lucas. Ndombele is a complete mystery. Looks completely shot and then he goes and does that.

Mourinho seems good at attracting the players but seems worrying how he is organising them.

I think one of them main problem is lack of players prepared to beat a man. Need more from winks, moura and PEH

It seems that Jose is past his sell by date and has nothing inventive or forward thinking to bring to the table .
the fans saying this and that player is " shit " are wrong the players are all internationals and so my humble diagnosis is that the manager/coach is telling them the wrong things or they are not listening either way we need to bite the bullet and get a pro active modern thinking manager.
