Watching the bt sports analysis, how long has hoddles hair been in that current state? Not seen him for ages as I don’t usually get the chance to watch the full games much these days

We desperately need a quality CB. Could be the difference between a top 4 challenge and a league challenge. Dier is not good enough. Toby’s fallen off a cliff. Sanchez is prone to a mistake.

Was PEH any good in the end?

Some of his performances have been a bit worrying so far although could also be he is settling in.

Also defence still a massive concern, our centre backs just don’t seem good enough and was Doherty okay in the end?

We won due to having two world class players up top and fortunately Lo Celso seems to be coming good as long as he can stay fit! (And with a Ndombele perhaps alongside him, depending on team balance).

Obviously Bale to come in too and we could end up like Barca when they had Messi, Neymar and Suarez just basically winning stuff for them but defence and holding midfield still a concern, especially as we splashing on PEH.

When he dropped back into his best position, he was much better. 1st half no.

Gotta to credit mourinho for the tactically change at half time. Defensively much better when we dropped deeper.

Lo Celso play we play. What a difference he makes. Ndombele is great on the ball but too much a passenger off it. Lo Celso is way more proactive. I think Ndombele plays against weaker opposition where we dominate but a sub in the tougher games. I know he has to get his fitness up so hopefully he can change that.

That was Sonny's first Premier League hat trick? Huh, I just kind of assumed he already had several.
got close a few times remember him making a right mess of a hat trick against Watford maybe 3 years a go

I like what Sanchez is becoming, looking confident but he needs someone more mobile than Eric next to him. I would much prefer to see Dier playing in front of the back line, dropping in like he did under Poch, and Toby to find the form he had eighteen months ago, but maybe we were spoiled by the Jan/Toby dynamic and we're expecting magic when we need to be patient. I dunno.

He was ok, not a defensive midfielder, and not the worst in our midfield

See this is what worries me as it was a defensive midfielder we needed.

Especially as we loaned out Skipp who could have been the man.

We have White but he’s even less experienced then Skipp, although would be tempted to try and blood him.
