that was some seriously pathetic shit. I cant for the life of me figure out how a world class manager with this kind of talent gets rolled by relegation fodder. Every player and coach needs to have a long hard look at themselves. I know I cant take much more of this.
Surely you can. Perhaps one of your assertions is wrong. Maybe both. I happen think it's both and am supported in that view with each performance. But you can decide for yourself.

They weren't even the worst today. But I thought we knew by now that playing Alderweireld and Vertonghen together is a bad idea, as they share a weakness now and need to have team mates around them that brings what they lack. And with Eriksen in the side as well. You have one third of the team that are switched off. It spreads to the entire team. You get soft walking football. I hope we don't renew Verts contract, and look forward to Eriksen leaving. Too tempting to turn to them if they are available

We seem to be getting worse every week rather than better. Today was absolute filth. Alli I think was the worst of a terrible bunch, ran close by Moura.

Bar a miraculous turn in form top four won't happen. The squad has grown stale and a rebuild is needed. I was all for sacking Pochettino and bringing in Mourinho and I actually thought that this squad, with some tactical tweaks and a new voice, could aspire to something this season. Mourinho was the right man for that job. Not sure how I feel about him being the chief architect in a total rebuild though.

Anyway, I personally still have high hopes for all of Ndombele, Lo Celso, Sessegnon. Hopefully some of our youngsters like Clarke, Skipp can get cameo roles in the second half of the season. That's the only positive note I can think as of now.

Didn't realise how bad Jose was praising this team when he came in, they were deserved of nothing. He should never have done that, he gave them a comfort blanket right from the off. This team has been disgusting to watch and I am sick of feeling awful after every game, sick of it.

If he comes in and immediately slags them off he loses them. Not a good idea.

It's similar to when Poch first came. A bunch of players who lacked desire and some just direction, took him a full season to weed them out and get his stamp on the squad.

It'll be the same with Jose but he needs significant investment so that he can push the ones out who are done and get players who can follow his orders.

One thing is for sure, I'd be focusing on players with big desire and players who can lead.

No Alexis Sanchez types
No Vincent Janssen types
No Fellaini types.

Young British players from the championship who are keen to prove themselves and a couple of established players

For the first time today I thought to myself ‘thank f**k we can sign new players’ this month. Like under poch, something’s gotta change. There’s a lethargy within the team. We gave the ball away today like a team on the downward slope ... FairPlay to Southampton, they worked harder to win . Akin to Norwich game we looked the lesser team. I’m wondering whether there’s a slight ‘we can cruise this’ attitude? I’m not pissed off. Just accepting that we could lose 4th spot. Players to blame in my eyes
