Oh and I forgot Jenas, he walked in to the Harvester and we were waiting to be
seated. I don't think he'd ever been to a Harvester and him and his girlfriend got seated quickly but left pretty much straight away !

They ran out laughing!!!!

My Dad still doesn't believe me that I saw Jenas in a Harvester

Today I met Gary Mabbutt in Pret a Manger on Oxford Street

I was going in anyway, but as I walked past the window I took a double take as he was sat there having a cuppa... Had a quick chat with him about the final and how he rates our chances, he mentioned how good Steed's been this season too...

Then I got some guy sweeping the floor to take a picture

It's been said before, but he's a really nice guy...

I met Anelka when he was at Arsenal, he was in the Shell garage near where I used to live in Islington buying doughnuts.

Server: "Hello Mr Campbell, what would you like to rent?"

Campbell: "Brokeback Mountain, please"

Server: "But that's the fifth time you have hired it this month."

Campbell: "It appeals to me."

Could not agree more lived in chingford all my life and the the house is the most stupid looking thing i have ever seen, but i would not mine having the money to build it from scratch

I saw Jimmy Greaves at a petrol station in Brentwood about wto months ago, I spoke to him and he was quite chatty. Apparently he's doing a stand up tour with the Saint this year !

My brother gave Dennis Bergkamp a lift to Trent Park a week and a half ago. His wife took the kids to the park, my brother and his friend spotted him walking in the street, and he jumped in...he didn't jump into a strangers car mind, his mate lives next door to him and know each other, babysat his kids a couple of times and thumped them on pro-evo etc.

May be a scum legend, but is a nice guy, came round with a bottle of champers when it was someones birthday prior to going out. Free alcohol always makes people nice guys.

I was reading this thread this morning and was going to reply saying that I have often seen Gary Mabbutt walking around Potters Bar (and used to regularly tell him how much my Aunt loved him) and surprisingly I just saw him walking into Potters Bar Station out of the window of my work!!!!

I've also seen Robbie Keane with his (gorgeous) girlfriend in the Papparazzi in Potters Bar. If you go there there are often footballers in there and there are a load of photos and signed shirts up on the wall. The owner loves bragging about it and always tells me about how Robbie takes loads of food with him to put in his freezer. Not sure if Juande would be happy with that diet! My Mum works over the road from the restaurant and saw Robbie head inside one lunchtime, quite soon after a selection of gooner players also entered and almost immediately Robbie came storming out of the restaurant screaming and swearing at the gooners inside!!!! It's good to know that he hates them as much as we do!

Finally I saw Arsene Wenger in The Rotisserie in Whetstone with his family one saturday night (apparently he's a regular). My girlfriend spotted him first though and said "Oh, God, look who it is" before grabbing my hands as fists formed. I didn't give him any abuse, but I did sing "I love Martin Jol, Martin Jol loves me" at him, to which someone sat on the table next to me simply asked "Why?" (it was pre-Juande era). Wenger didn't look too amused, but I'm sure he regularly hears much worse, in fact my girlfriend was very proud of the fact that I refrained from singing "Wenger is a fucking paedophile".

It's not someone I saw, but my Dad was driving down a country lane and saw Bergkamp jogging just after he joined the scum. My Dad started beeping his horn and Bergkamp turned round and gave him a thumbs up, which my Dad replied to with his middle fingers! To this day he regrets not running him down then!

Once met Lennon in Harvey Nichols in Leeds but other than that living in Newcastle I only get to see the Barcodes players. Met Woodgate and Jenas when they were both up here.

As well as my full time job, i also work in woolworths at the weekend. i went into work yesterday morning and was told that jimmy greaves had been in the store during the week!!

I was gutted.

To be honest though, its prob for the best. i hear he's a bit moody. Prob wouldn't have liked me calling him a yiddo.

Anyone else spotted players out and about? What did you do?

Jimmy's sister Freda is always in Woolworths, you'll usually find her in the music section.

i had met efan a few times when i was a wee lad, i lived in tooting back when he was playing for norwich and wimbledon and knew his nephews, hes a nice bloke.

Snap! Use to work with his brother in Tooting. He (Efan's brother) later threw shot put for England. This was a lifetime ago!!

BrotherJustin, you must live near me somewhere then - all places mentioned are regular hanuts of mine

Paparazzi is where I met Dawson, and I presume you've been to Al Fresco? My Dad sees loads of people in there, he saw Senderos in there 2 weeks ago

You ever go to Tandoori Night or Sweet Cherry? Also regular haunts of the players!!
