Spurs in Chile

Ive got a job in Santiago, Chile for the summer (or the winter as it will be down there)

Are there any pubs where I can watch Euro 2008?

Certainly, many pubs (specially around El Bosque street in Las Condes, near Apoquindo Avenue). Some restaurants such as Applebees, TGI Friday's, should have it on as well.

Euro Cups have always been on open TV anyway, so it shouldn't be too tough to catch the action.

Good luck in Santiago, the smog city. First world of football though, you'll see the passion there is awesome...

I live in Santiago, but have only been here a few weeks, I lived in Antofagasta before that, a place i strongly recommend :liar:... I don't know that much about the football watching prospects yet, but there are plenty of pubs and such around, one about a block from where I live called Sports Bar or something similar.

A problem could be the time difference with most games starting at 12 or 3pm here. While it's sometimes nice to wake up, turn on the TV and watch the mighty Spurs, I kind of miss spending the evening in the pub waiting for a late kick off.

What are you going to do down here?

My Mums cousin has been to the national stadium in Santiago, she was interned there in the 1970's.

Sod that.

I'm actually a bit surprised that there are Spurs fans in Chile. I live in Venezuela and haven't met a Spurs fan as of yet.

Coincidentally, there is a member called chileanspursfan that is a regular on these forums.
