Saw this Paulinho pic on Twitter and winced at the lashings of commercial degradation

Made me think: what are the funniest corporate sell outs from Spurs players?

Lineker has done pretty well out of Walkers, but he did have to dress up as Britney Spears for an ad.

And, random fact... After Jamie Slabber quit football he moved to Yorkshire, got fat and is now the bloke in the PlusNet adverts*...

*I made that up :)

He should sponsor the throwaway razors. Good for use once, then throw away. Will go around in circles without actually achieving the desired outcome. Still used by the masses and heralded as useful.

Gillette adverts are always god awful. Expect that they are actually sitting in a fighter yet cockpit with Tiger Woods and Cindy Crawford.

I love the ones with Roger Federer. Then again, I love anything with Roger Federer.

Are people really complaining about commercial advertisements? Over half of what some of these guys make is on commercial endorsements.

It's not selling out. It's maximizing your earning potential and brand.

Ha, how po faced of you. Not complaining, revelling in the hilarity of it all. It's absurd guys earning £100,000 a week needing more money so they dance around like chimps for the highest bidder. It's vulgar.

The point was cringeworthy ads, not just ads in general. No amount of "maximising your brand" will cover the eternal embarrassment of Joe Hart's awful Head & Shoulders ads

They're getting coin, clearly don't give a shit, so harmless to have a chuckle no?

Or let's just start yet another thread on what we all hope for the new season, keep this place interesting...

If you are earning over £50,000 a week, and still doing commercials, then yes you are a sell out.

It doesn't work like that. If you have a Bentley yet your team mate has a yacht you will feel poor in comparison. If you have a yacht but your owner has a private jet you will feel poor in comparison. If you have a private jet but a friend has his own island you will feel poor in comparison. People will always want more and will have their agents telling them what to do to maximise their earnings.

Didn't Shimbomba & co do an unofficial one when they visited that tattoo place years ago?
