Dreading this.
Me too, just like the bad old days when they ruled the roost, can’t see any way we can beat them with current team.
I have this feeling of dread but can’t work up the enthusiasm to do anything to try & forget about it for a few minutes.

I just want to see some genuine desire straight from kickoff, far too many times against the top teams we have been out fought from the start.
Being out played whilst not easy to swallow I can accept, lacking the tenacity to go toe to toe in the battle is not, especially against Arsenal! COYS

If the players fail to turn up for this today, it will beg the question of whether or not they should be here next season, more seriously than ever.

If they do, it will certainly beg the question of where they hell they’ve been...

0-0 written all over it.

I am looking forward to this game less than I'd look forward to having root canal surgery

Won't be watching today will be in the garden in my hot tub with the phone on silent.
First time ever that I have missed a NLD, but can't be fucked with it, will check my phone tonight expecting the usual abuse from gooners and spammers joy.

Ndombele to start with of course Lo Celso too in the team and hopefully Bergwijn, Son and Kane up front and I may actually sit up and pay attention. Winks + Sissoko and Lucas (which I fully expect) and I can just see the same rubbish being served up and a loss.

I can’t remember the last time I looked at this fixture and didn’t feel confident about a victory.

Personally did an hour of workout to feel the pain before the pain. Dreading this. But still think Jose taking us generally in the right direction.

Sheff United no mugs - deserved winners against Chelsea without giving them a sniff. A proper football team - technically good, well drilled and defensively very very solid. They are not where they are by accident. Totally understand how they tonked us.

I agree with what you say, but there is one glaring omission to your list of the things that we lack: coaching. Specifically, coaching on how we are to attack. It's all very well having these players but without a strategy of how we're going to create chances we're entirely dependent upon moments of brilliance. As these are somewhat rare, so are our scoring chances.
That's indeed what I was thinking, but initially I generally prefer to describe rather than to blame. Otherwise all the replies go off on "who's to blame" instead of further analysis.

I'll tell you what will happen today. They will attack and we will defend and we will get frustrated and they will get a penalty. Mourinho will have his excuse and they will score another before we will get one back 5 minutes from the end
NDombele will come on in the 89th minuted wearing his three piece suit and the fans won't have to drive home aggravated.
Mourinho will discuss VAR and in the post game presser and storm out when they ask him about NDombele.
This is the life.
