Maybe it was just the camera-work but it looked like Pochettino sat back and watched most of game, while in the previous two he was out shouting in the technical area throughout.

Poor match but I'd say Poch is already beginning to configure a starting team. I know the World Cup players need to be considered but Lamela & Capoue must be on the list already. Capoue is a really clever player!

Bit disappointed overall with these three games. We should be beating them by at least 3 clear goals.
Were missing over half of our first team, we've just begun pre season, were trying to implement a new philosophy, and were playing MLS sides who are half way through their season.

You're expecting too much if you think we should be winning by that margin this early on!

Boring game. Field was awful. The ref was too involved and didn't let the game flow. The players were lackluster and seemed more concerned with avoiding injury. Capoue was decent, as was Rose, Soldado and Lamely . Nearly everyone else was poor.

Think he want to see how the players are responding to the style, how they are taking it. Like dawson would never change anything in his game. But for example Lennon have changed his game from AVB LENNON Leauge 3 player, and today high class PL player.

Soldado won't score if he has to play with the likes of Townsend and Lennon. Eriksen and lamella are the key to his success. And maybe holtby.

I think the best combo's in attack have been Soldado, Lamela and Lennon. In the next two games, I would like to see 60 mins of Soldado, Lamela, Lennon and Holtby and another 60 mins of Soldado, Lamela, Lennon and Eriksen with Capoue and Holtby behind them.

Players looked tired and rightfully so. I think a couple days off will do them good. I'm sure we'll see a better performance come the Celtic game.

Bloody hell. Didnt get to watch the match but after reading the comments here you'd think this was a derby match.

It was a FRIENDLY. We still won despite that (even though some people expected us to win by 10 goals of something silly like that). Half the team was full of jrs. We're trying something new. Chicago isn't a bad side in terms of the MLS. The MLS in general isnt given enough credit. And lastly Arse also LOST. Bloody hell what more do you people want?

Anyone else impressed by Luke McGee? I know we didn't see much of him, but he looked to be a good distributor of the ball. When he got the ball, he looked calm, and passed short each time instead of hoofing the ball long.

I'm really struggling with the logic of bringing Fredericks on to play RB, moving our RB to LB and our LB to LCB.
Seeing as our defense has been an issue, maybe poch's trying to get them to play out of their comfort zones so that they're more aware of what the opposition might do. He was a defender himself after all so I would think he knows what defending really requires. Not the first unorthodox training method we've heard of either.

Please we got the win, Holby did well nipping in to win the ball for the first goal, Lennon took his chance well for the 2nd. A good run out for the team, a couple of worrying facts, one being Saldado isn't finding the back of the net, something still has to click in him, be it getting in the right positions, or linking up with the right pass. And i just feel Eriksen doesn't look sharp during the US tour. But against its preseason, and things will change when the WC players return.

3 good competitve matches for us, would prefer if we face Chicago first, then Seattle and ending in Canada... As in term of competition, Chicago didn't really take the game to us as much as Seattle did, which was disappointing.

Oh well... Atleast we didnt lose.

From the players on this tour this would be my starting 11 if we had a premier league match tomorrow-
Friedel

Naughton Kaboul Fryers Rose

Capoue Holtby

Lennon Eriksen Lamela

Soldado

Team with everyone here and fully fit-
Lloris

Walker Kaboul Vertonghen Rose

Capoue Dembele

Lamela Eriksen Townsend

Adebayor

That team fully fit and confident would really excite me. I know many would disagree with Rose over Davies but I think the majority of the time we play against teams we should be beating and Rose is better going forward. I also think he was made a scapegoat very unfairly last season (the whole team were poor in general) and is a pretty decent defender when he's fully fit and confident. We're very lucky to have him and Davies competing for a place in the team!

All looks promising - you can certainly see that Poch is getting his ideas across to the players. The only thing I would say is that before we marvel too much at the players, lets consider the opposition - there will be much tougher challenges than we have faced in this pre-season.
Lots of positives though.

Really? Townsend makes the starting 11 with everyone here fully fit?
