Under poch we would have taken far to long to reach to what was happening. Tonight, we made that change at 25 mins. Can anyone actually tell me a change that we have made that early under poch without an injury

I was just thinking about all the talk of Jose loves Dier. Tonight proves he loves winning more. I never would have thought that a man that touted a player for such a long time, came in and had him starting games would actually sub him in the first half of a game.

My loyalty for Poch will never diminish but I think it's safe to say we would have lost this game with him at the helm
He always said he lives for winning. He HATES losing. He'll do whatever it takes to win, whoever has to come off and no matter the minute.

On the train coming home a lot happier than I thought I'd be at half time. Strange to see a substitution at 28 minutes but we were two down so what was the point of Dier after that Eriksen gave us more forward momentum. I was also surprised by Moura's going off for Sissoko but I guess we were level by then and we needed a bit of steel back in midfield so the manager got it right on both occasions.
Talk about a game of two halves shit in the first sugar in the second. A special mention for Aurier's determination to get that cross in at the end of the first half he could easily have had his head back in the dressing room but he kept up the fight.

Lol - or perhaps we’d never have gone 0-2 down by poor team selection in the first place?

I’m all in for Mou now the decision has been made but let’s not make ridiculous“alternative reality” declarations on zero evidence hey?

It’s obvious Dier was subbed off because we needed another attacker in to get a goal. It wasn’t his performance. He was the obvious sub but like other of said, Mourinho is a brave manager and that’s the kind of thing he does.

when was the last time we subbed a player off in the first half for something other than an injury?

Credit where credit is due, Mourinho acted decisively in making the changes that gave us enough time to make an impact and turn things around when things were going wrong early on.

He also followed it up with some good post match interview skills in deflecting it away from Dier, and explaining his reasons for the change, that will go down well in the dressing room and with Dier.

Where does Lo Celso fit into this team?!?
This is the question. My concern is if we really do end up getting Bruno what happens to Gio. Even if Eriksen goes. I really can't see him featuring at all until we play BM. Eriksen will be Jose's go to when we need creativity.

But Winks played 90 minutes and you said Mourinho won’t last if he keeps playing him
(n)

Not sure what your point is? Are you upset that your boy Winks played terribly? Look mate, he isn't cut out for it, it's been clear for ages. He isn't up to the required level. I lost count the amount of times he lost the ball today. He does nothing on the ball either. 5 yard sideways passes is his biggest attribute.

And FYI Jose can only make 3 subs. He even said in his post match it could easily have been Winks he took off. I imagine part of Jose's thinking was Winks is far more likely to last the 90 fitness wise, and Dier wouldn't, hence who he picked. They were both fucking abysmal.

If you think Jose won't have noticed how shit Winks is, think again. I'll be gobsmacked if the beginning of next season Winks is in Jose's first 11, utterly gobsmacked.

Poch wouldn't have made the sub before HT, but he also wouldn't have started Dier so I'm not sure we would've lost.
