always in such a fucking hurry to give possession back to them.

Individually we have the players to be able to play some football but we just lump it over and over.

Would we be that much better with H and Son?

Feels like our midfield has a structural / tactical issue without a ball winner sitting in front of the defence and with Winks being so lightweight

Actually think Sissoko would have been a useful out ball tonight

but in general being totally bossed

We would be better but not much - the tactics are shite thats the issue. You defend and attack as a team

This is not a pretty sight is it, but if we are to progress we can expect more of the same when we face tough opposition

Who wasn't a Poch fanboy when we were playing great attacking football? We all certainly were. I get the impression he was invited to the training ground a few times as he always called Poch "boss" when they spoke. He's not wrong that this is terrible football to watch is he?
Yes but he’s only saying negative things and has been ever since Jose took over. I agree the football isn’t good to watch but his commentary is actually very biased as he’s only seeing the negatives in setting up this way. Playing like this we beat man.city 2-0, nearly got at least a point off Liverpool and have had the most points bar Liverpool since Jose took over so it can’t all be negative can it.

as I said playing like this the aim is to hold strong 1st half and then do more counter attacks 2nd half once their legs tire

The first touch of a lot of these players is so bad.

the criticism from Jenas and his buddy is so unjust.

we went toe to toe with Bayern and got embarrassed. not going to do the same thing with so many big players missing here.

how else should we play then, given the players available? i’m hearing lots of people criticise, but not many offering solutions.

I have no issue with the players selected, but since December, we have played give the ball away football. We have been extremely lucky with results.

If you think the players we have can't play football then you need your head examined.

GLC
Bergwijn
Lucas
Alli
Winks
Gedson

Those 6 players are capable of stringing 5 passes together. If you can say they can't keep the ball then you need to follow that up with we are going to be relegated.

If we were going about this like we did pre Jose, we’d be 5 or 6 down by now. The evidence speaks for itself that this is at least a valid way of approaching it
