People need to realise. This is how we are going to play against this type of team. The Poch passing days are over. We knew we would see this. Sit in. Don’t concede and try and nick a winner in the first leg. We don’t want to be going to Leipzig needing to score two and keep them out. It’s 180 minutes of football.

Dont know what people expected tonight. We are playing against a really good side, they will have chances. Whilst they have certainly hurried us and we have struggled to control the game we are in this game.

Think Ndombele and Lamela can come on later in the game when their intensity starts to dip and we can hopefully take advantage of that.

Sanchez, Gedson and Gio have had really good halves.

I have tried, oh how I have tried but Aurier needs to be be no where near our defence next season
This is it - he’s a liability defensively; at the level we want to be playing, you simply cannot carry defenders who can’t defend - even when they provide an attacking threat.

Every match we start the same way , calamity football. We are coming in to the game a little now but our back 4 need to push up. Jose bring on a ball winner, eh, I mean a match winner.:)

We seem to be not helping each other out on occasion and our players get caught on the ball. Happened to gedson, Aurier and Steve. Not supporting each other enough.

Agree with this, but it will only work if our defensive lines are solid. And that's where we are failing. Most notably on the right hand side... You know, where Serge is supposed to be.

Hanging on for 45 minutes is a pretty bad tactic. Its not a masterclass of tactics when the goalkeeper, post and last ditch tackles are stopping it from being 0-3

Lo Celso and Gedson really starting to look like the kinds of players who can create chances from very little. Excited to see what happens when they’ve got Kane to feed the ball to

Their work rate is phenomenal though. That's what really separates the teams.

That is no surprise though. The high intensity press is nothing new. And we look overrun every game against every level of opponent.

And intensity alone doesnt explain why we are incapable of any level of expressive or controlled football and yet how they can play one touch triangles and around us, whilst we pass it horizontally a couple of times before just launching back into their possession repeatedly.

Tactically I dont understand what we are trying to achieve.

Not enough love for our captain Hugo Lloris tonight either. Very quick to be chastised, very slow to be praised. Who'd be a goalkeeper.
To be fair nearly everything he's saved has been straight at him. He's not put a foot wrong in the first half, but then we are that deep he doesn't need to leave his line. It's not like he's made a string of world class saves now is it!

We’ve gone backwards since Jose joined. Yes we’ve had some good results but our luck will run out. The football is so so poor!

Agreewith comments re Aurier, he is woeful.

Not sure we can say Jenas is in the wrong for saying how bad we are. His a decent pundit.

Not sure I share the optimism that Ndombele will turn things around. I’ve not seen anything against decent opposition from him yet.

Why oh why is Aurier always higher up the pitch than most of our midfield when we are defending? Put Tanganga on at RB and let one of our midfielders get forward and give us a chance of taking the game to them occasionally.
