Referee: ___ Graham Scott +

Team Form: ____ Spurs DWLDW ______ Sheffield LDWDW ) ____
(All Competitions)

Sheffield United (SU) are winless in their last 17 Premier League (PL) games in London (D6 L11) since beating Chelsea 2-1 in October 1992. On top of that, Yorkshire side have lost 10 of their last 12 visits to us int he PL (W1 D1), with Hull winning 1-0 in October 2008.

SU have lost just one away league game in 2019 (W6 D9 L1) - no team in the top four tiers of English football have lost fewer (also Liverpool 1). They have conceded just 8 in their 11 PL games so far - no team has conceded fewer. The last newly promoted team to conceded fewer after 11 games were Wigan Athletic in 2005-06 (5).

We are unbeaten in 4 home games against SU in all competitions (W3 D1) since a 0-1 loss at WHL in November 1991. We have always scored at least twice and have never lost in the 6 previous PL meetings between us (W4 D2).

However we are winless in 4 PL games (D2 L2), having last had a longer run earlier this year (5 games in Feb/Mar). In 2017 and 2018 combined, we only had one winless of 4+ PL games (Nov / Dec 2017). We have conceded more than once in just one of our 15 home PL games in 2019 (2-2 vs Everton in May).

SU will be the 29th different side that Kane has faced in the PL. He has scored against all previous 28 clubs he has played against, making him the only player to have scored against 100% of the opponents he has faced in the competition (min. 2 opponents). Dele Ali has scored in 39 PL games without losing (W31 D8 L0) - only Darius Vassell (46) and James Milner (53) have scored in more without ending on the losing side in PL history

We will win tomorrow. Just on the basis that our form is slowly picking up, we would have won at Everton and of course we did vs Red Star Belgrade plus Sheffield's novelty value has to wear off at some point.

I'm starting to feel a bit more positive again about our performances, so I think we'll win this one.

Just need Poch to have a decent team selection and tactics; keep the in form players in there and play with energy.

This is it then isn’t it (again). Have we turned the corner or not?

It’s a must win if we still want top four. Lose this or not win and it’s going to be incredibly difficult.

Dreading not winning this to be fair

They're a hard working, well coached team who were desperately unlucky to even concede against Liverpool and needed an unstoppable thunderbolt to lose to Leicester.

This will be a test of character more than anything. If we don't score early, we'll be in for a tense, frustrating afternoon.

We absolutely need Ndombele and Lo Celso to start this.

Trouble is thats been a large part of the problem and despite the mid week result he shows no sign of doing that. Demonstrated again mid week by bringing on Eriksen.
Sorry but I'm not optimistic at all.
I expect to see Winks and Sissoko in midfield, Rose lb, Eriksen starting, GLC on the bench.
Poch just cant seem to see whats in front of his face at the moment.
Really hope I'm wrong I really do.
Winks, Eriksen and Rose need dropping.
I wouldn't mind Winks playing if Dier was next to him so he can push up but he just isnt a dm and neither is Sissoko which means basically we havent got one and part of the reason we keep getting arse raped.

More like we cant make that gap up.
Imo we've ost 4 before mid November. Its gone.
That takes a special kind of fuck up.

I don't think top 4 is gone yet. I wouldn't expect us to make up a 10 point gap to City or Liverpool, but all the other teams in the division have a major fuck up in them.

If there are two teams I'd want to be chasing for 3rd/4th place it'd be Chelsea and Leicester. United would have the spending power in January to sort out any deficiencies and Arsenal already have the attackers to pull results out of the bag, thankfully their captains keep going AWOL.

Who knows how Chelsea's youngsters will cope with a full PL/CL season, and Leicester are still entirely unpredictable. If it weren't for a very dubious offside call we would have beaten them and they might not have kickstarted the run they've been on.

Don't think race for top 4 is over, but with all that said I certainly don't expect us to gain any ground with Poch.

Fairwell win today, and then walk away on a high please Mauricio.

In our first three league games, we won one, lost one and drew one.
In our next three league games, we won one, lost one and drew one.
In our next three league games after that, we won one, lost one and drew one.
Since then, we've lost one and drew one.

So we're set to win this.

Chris Wilder's success is not novel unfortunately for us. Been a consistently inventive and pragmatic manager since his time with Northampton. This will be a tough test.

Nothing other than a win is completely unacceptable. I couldn’t give a toss how good Sheffield United have started, we should be getting 3 points at home to these guys. They are a newly promoted team and no excuses whatsoever in getting the win. Not only that, we have made such a bad start it’s almost become a case of needing to win 3 or 4 in a row just to make up some ground
