I don't know what games your seeing if you believe now that Alderweireld Vertonghen Rose Wanyama Eriksen Aurier possible Lloris Dier are going to move this club forward. it'll be hard not to agree Pochettinho has by and large improved players during his tenure. I get Poch is under extreme pressure from supporters media haters etc during this period of poor results going back last season and a CL defeat. In 5 years its the first most challenging period he would have dealt with. I personally would like to see how he'll perform with at least a couple transfer windows however which way Pochettinho ends up the club has to invest in better players now this is so evident.
So do you think they're all of a sudden useless? Arguments can he made that Rose and Wanyama are now finished due to injuries, Aurier it is debatable whether he was ever any good, but the steep decline in form from Alderweireld, Vertonghen and Eriksen? You can't just blame it all on their contracts, lots of players play out of their skin knowing they are leaving a club, bebit out of respect for the fans or self service in wanting to attract another club.

Plus, it's not just those 3 playing poorly, it's pretty much everyone, how do you explain this without having to question the man in charge?

How do you go from a very decent team, to mid table obscurity in the space of a few months.

I'm supposed to still support the team even through these shite periods, but its really difficult. Really very difficult to even watch any minutes of this team without becoming very bored and uninterested quickly. 7 against bayern, 3 against brighton, dicked against an absolute piss poor watford at home. Hell weve been much worse than this before, but weve even fluked a win in those periods. I dont want to change the manager but I do want to smash a few of the players in the face.

But as it is a well known fact, our lads should have been ready for it and played with an accordingly high tempo.

Sure thing. But I also hope that Foster fucks off to the Championship as is never seen again in the PL.

That’s very easily explained. There is truth in the saying one bad/rotten apple can spoil a bunch. To be honest I’m surprised Pochettino hasn’t been ruthless enough with certain players and dropped them.

he wouldve dropped them, but we've had injuries in every relevant position. it's all about to change. still, a season with no european footy would relieve some pressure and may help to bring the next generation through..

Are you really saying they haven't ?
Kind of seems like we improved for a couple of seasons, peaked, and have now been on the decline since finishing second. The question is can he halt it and once again improve us?

I'd like him to but I don't think he can, this is his squad, not an inherited one, he shouldn't be having to weed players out or have a big overhaul, even with a bit of stagnation we shouldn't be seeing the performances we are now if he hasn't lost the players.

I wouldn't say it's totally Pochettinho squad there's still major players he had no say on ie,Rose Vertonghen Lloris Eriksen Davies Lamela.
Anyway let's hope we can turn things around and move in the right direction.
