We will scrape a pretty undeserved Win to keep things ticking over

It’s next week when we get truely walloped it’ll all fall apart

I had a dream Poch started Eriksen. I cried

We’re in a very sad state. Players aging and not giving a shit. Poor tactics and a manager whose antics on the touch line look a bit disinterested. Then yesterday, we had a presser. And oh boy. Poch’s presser did nothing to inspire confidence that he will do what is needed. His quotes that have come out since the recorded portion are even weirder. I’ve got no hope here. I’m going for the big hit. Watford to win 3-0 and Deulofeu to score first parlay.

Really pray to all that is holy that I am wrong buy i’ve really lost all confidence in the club at the moment. Feels like the rot stretches from the top down. Something’s gotta give soon, you’d think.

Voted for a draw I'm struggling to see where the next win is coming from maybe Liverpool away but feel 2-2 is tomorrow's likely result as we just cannot defend.

Do you think next week we can keep it under 4-0 or are we facing the scenario of being 2-0 within the first 20 mins and game over.

Spurs ruined my 18th birthday by losing there 7-0. I can see the same or worse if we don't get it together fast.

If it cheers anyone up, I'm going to my second game of the season tomorrow. The other game was the Palace game.

I don't think yankspurs is old enough to remember but her spirit clearly lives lives on.

Mona Lott's catch-phrase from ITMA starring Tommy Handley. was ‘It’s being so cheerful as keeps me going’.
many more characters and it's influence on The Goon Show is clear.

The series introduced dozens of characters (not all of them politically correct) and catchphrases. Among them were Funf the German spy, whose line ‘This is Funf speaking’ became wildly popular. Francis Worsley observed: ‘Almost everyone who had a telephone had also a humorous friend who never failed to open the proceedings with this.’

There was Mrs Mopp, the office charlady, whose entrance was accompanied by ‘Can I do you now, sir?’; she departed to TTFN (‘Ta Ta For Now’), the ultra-polite handymen Claude and Cecil (‘After you Claude’ – ‘No, after you Cecil’, which gained widespread usage amongst RAF pilots in combat), Ali Oop, a Middle Eastern vendor of dubious postcards (‘I go, I come back’) Mark Time, an elderly man who answered all questions with ‘I’ll ‘ave to ask me Dad’, Wamba M’Boojah, a Tomtopian whose Oxbridge accent was the result of a spell as an announcer with the BBC’s Overseas Service, Major Munday, an ex-British army officer who had lived in isolation since the Boer war and believed that England was exactly as it had been in the nineteenth century.

Then there was Colonel Chinstrap, a dipsomaniac Army officer who turned almost any innocent remark into the offer of a drink with his catchphrase ‘I don’t mind if I do’.

Many of these phrases survived for years until the Goons took over.
