I tried to be positive, seeing this lineup as trying to get the best out of the fullbacks higher up the pitch without them being exposed defensively. Equally it should take the shackles off Winks being pigeonholed into DM.
However, this appears yet another gutless and clueless performance, against a side we should be beating comfortably if we are truly a CL team.
I don’t buy this ‘players are letting him down’ rubbish. It is the role of Poch to coach them day in and day out, into a winning combination of ability and tactics. If the players are not performing, either they are not tactically setup right, or else just not able. Either way Poch should see this and fix it. Last few games the team and tactics have changed. We lack identity in our play, and very little motivation it appears. Poch has lost control.
Man for man is Watford’s team better than ours? If not, then who but the manager and his tactics are to blame???
Poch is done here. I see no way back for him now, I just don’t see him changing things. Any good faith he had, and he had plenty as the best manager I’ve seen during my time, has been completely eroded over the course of 2019’s limo performances. If the squad is spent, how has he allowed that to happen and remain blameless.
