Quality. For the most part though, I found it less high press and more high stress.

Early days though. 3 points up on last season already.

Sometimes I think maybe I'm falling out of love with the game and then I realise how angry I got at the red card the relief at the missed pen and the pure joy of Diers goal.... It obviously still means something deep down (y)

Now to get a copy of the game so I can watch it (had to make do with radio for most of the game only managed to watch the last 10 mins)

Still in shock.... the first half... every ball that was played into the box we look shaky. no one seems to be able to get a head onto the ball and to clear the danger.

High pressing was refreshing to see, quite a few times we force them into poor clearances and got the ball back, we didn't use it too well thou, but i am sure it will get better.

we rode our luck... West Ham helped by not taking the game to us in the 2nd half, deciding to be patient and wait for the killer blow.... But good movement and ball control by Lamela and Ade brought us back to 10 v 10... and a game we will never soon forget.

Think its still early days, but a great start tonight.

It's difficult to take too much out of a game where we have been down to 10 men for 60 minutes, especially if you a trying to look at how we are going to play in future matches.

What I would say is it was always going to take time to incorporate the way Pochettino wants us to play. I think from the open 30 minutes before the red card the players froze slightly and instead of trusting the methods and style Pochettino wants from them they reverted to type.

Hopefully given time and some of our World Cup players coming back will see us play in way we all enjoy a bit more.

who fucking needs it when you have a CB waltz through the pikey defence and slot home a cumshot in the 93rd minute:angelic:

You should write for The Times. Seriously, I'd read your football analysis. ;)
