One of the few home games I havent seen but looking at stats I'm atleast encouraging by having more possession....

Our attacking play was poor in the second half. Too slow, too predictable imo mate.

I’m not saying it wasn’t. But to say we weren’t attacking is false. We couldn’t get in on them but who normally gets those last minute winners or equalisers? Eriksen, Kane, son. And none of them were there.

Deserved a little more
after the first half performance
but Wolves do not give up easily
even going 2-1 down
on the stroke of half time
didn't faze them.

Another game
where we showed quality
but not for the whole game.

Some good signs
but not for this season.

Jose taking the piss
with Parrott
on in extra time.

Back to haiku school for you.

I'm just saying I thought we were poor second half after some bright stuff in the first.

You must be a happy clapper ????
No I mean it mate, SC won't be the same without your well thought, insightful contributions, but we'll all know you're doing it for the good of the club.

You'll be remembered as a martyr.

We've played worse football than today and won. Of course it's the results that matters but the performance today was better than a lot of past performances this season.

Too early to judge Mourinho, if we are just as shit as we are this time next season then fair enough but he as got us in with a chance of top 4 where as Poch wasnt taking us there this time around.
Poch had lost the dressing room so he had to go and who else were we meant to bring in? Mourinho was the obvious choice in my opinion.
He hadn't "lost the dressing room". Cast your mind back only a few months to when Pochettino was sacked and how generally stunned — sorry, another cliche — were the players at Spurs. Embarrassed and appalled at their own omissions in the opening weeks of this season, too, if I recall correctly. One of the most appalling episodes in Spurs' history. The shame of it.

Just back from the game. Wanted to see a response after last two defeats but it wasn't there. The apathy on the pitch and in the stands is really worrying.

Zero courage in this team, only LoCelso showing any ambition. The rest of them are hiding - Dier and Winks are the two most guilty of that in my opinion. Really want to see Harry do well, be a top midfielder for club & country, but rapidly losing faith in him. Dier is an absolute waste of space. Honestly, anyone but him at this stage.

Mourinho has a tonne of work to do. Yeah, we have some key injuries and some glaring gaps in the squad (we all know the reason for that!), but the lack of desire and basic football intelligence in the team is astonishing. How did it get this bad?

Really can't see us getting Champions League football next season... and we know that'll be a perfect excuse for Levy to tighten the purse strings again.

I'm more and more convinced that we need a change of ownership to enable the club to take the next step forward. Under Levy & Lewis, we will be forever also-rans.... making a tidy profit for the owners but with an empty trophy cabinet in our shiny stadium. As others on here have mentioned, we pay alot of hard-earned cash as season ticket holders, but it's not reflective of the product on the pitch.

Miserable.

Dele had a good chance to make it 3-1 & headed wide, after that we were poor.

Defensively we were all over the place & both their 2nd half goals were at the other end to me, but I did look like we had good chances to clear the ball & simply fluffed them.

I agree - Loved it to bits, but even its hay day, I knew it wouldn't last - systems like poch's don't. My biggest question was what the back up is? Turns out the Southampton fans were right - he didn't have one.
Odd, then, that the Southampton fans we usually hear from are the ones angry that he chose to leave that club. Resentful about it for some years, actually.

Or it might actually make him splash the cash. I bet him and lewis love the revenue the CL brings in and they would do what they could to get back in there.

Its also interesting your views on the game today. A few would say we played well today but individual mistakes cost us but you make out we were very poor overall.

True but even more painful as we really had them early and should have put them away.

Deli, winks and Lucas and probably Serge needs to be dropped especially Winks is not effective in the position he currently occupies

Games at home to come against - Leicester, United, Everton, Arsenal - we are long shots for CL

May as well accept it and then see what JM can do with a full pre-seaason, a couple of decent signings, and clearing out of some dead wood
