Cirkin still with seniors and Walcott as well.

I think Maghoma is as well. Jose just picking anyone tall lol.

One minute we're moaning all our players in the academy are small, next it's Mourinho's only picking tall players.

I don't think Cirkin is that tall, I'm trying to remember. Binks and Walcott are both about 6"2 though I reckon. Surprised Walcott in ahead of Binks but Walcott is a good CB in his own right.

Wot. Wasn’t he one of our good ones?

Ye he's a good player, I know some don't like him but he's really talented and in a strong England age group, he's selected fairly consistently despite the standard stagnation. Under Poch he was never going to come through, possibly under Mourinho but unlikely, whether it's a loan or permanent it's a good move for him to get out and finally play some games

He is only a CB and a good one at that.

In saying that he's probably played more at LB than Tanganga ever has at RB, and people already think Tanganga is the best RB we've ever produced, so I wouldn't rule anything out for Binks

Thought as much, cheers.
Not very fast but he is a good defender with good short and long passing and might be as good if not better than Tanganga in the air, he is a another CB who can score goals and I think he is a leader and will be a good captain.

wow, wasn't expecting that [re. maghoma]. like @edson said, some days he can look like the best player on the field and other days the worst, very frustrating player but definitely has some talent.

i remember the commentator saying he should be in the first team, obviously a bit premature at that point but he was pretty decent in that tournament. he's a bit like a not as good version of onomah, though he has more natural ability in the attacking third than josh.

His inconsistency has always been his biggest issue, but he is more of a flair player than Onomah, so will attempt a lot more things which might not come off. which causes more frustration, but I like that in him. Either way he is probably another grown weary of playing the same game and getting his motivation up so good on him for getting out and trying to find games. TOB should've done that ages ago

Do you think he is quick enough to make it at the highest level? Was my one concern on the few occasions I have seen him.
It is his weakness but when I watch him play I still think that there is more to come from him and he will get better and hopefully he finds half a yard of pace.

Cirkin is a good size close to 6ft I’d say and built. Mourinho is definitely currently picking the physically stronger but I guess that’s understandable.

With all the talk about CBs one CB who has gone down in the pecking that we should not yet give up on is BLF who is one of the best footballing CBs we have and it is a good thing that he is starting to play a lot better of late, let's hope he can bulk up a lot because it is what is slowing him down right now and not the lack of ability.

I'm not saying he's small by any means. You're point as I understood is was that Mourinho is picking tall players and you mentioned Walcott who is quite tall for his age but then even he has been caught up, then Cirkin. Just saying I wouldn't say Mourinho is having a preference for tall players based on that. He's the same height as White, bit smaller then Parrott.

You're right he's about 5"11 and as you say well built. More than capable of playing first team football and I feel fans would be alot more comfortable him in the first team than some of our previously talented but smaller players.

I'd be more concerned if Mourinho was picking Etete, Dinzeyi or someone like Chris Maghoma when he was here just because of their size

As far as I'm concerned I'd loan Binks out as he is physically ready, as well as Eyoma who should've been loaned out ages ago. Let Walcott and BLF play for the u23s. Loan out or move on Dinzeyi. And hopefully not waste Tanganga in the first team.

We'd get a better idea of where we're at with Binks and Eyoma after a season roughing it and see if they need another loan or not. They can't all make it that's just a fact, and if Mourinho does continue down the path with Tanganga as good as they all are, even if others were top quality I'd be surprised if he brought through another we're not Chelsea.

But it means we have options and then BLF can go on loan next year.
