Just tuned in, liking the scorecard - anyone give me a quick update? What's the wicket like, outfield, weather?

Cheers - and another wicket as i type, LBW, Jayawardene is going for a review...

Umpire's call - OUT!

170-6

Nice wicket just after tea, hope we're feeling confident with the bat.

Well listening to Jack bannister this morning on Talkshite, this is impressive bowling. The wearther is very hot abd humid, and it is most definatley a batters wicket. He reckons that if we bowl them out for anything under 350, we should be a ble to fill our boots with the bat.

Cheers fella - at this rate we might well have them all done for ~200, so sounds like our bowlers are having a great day. I'm assuming fast n flat, doubt there's much movement at all, but i've got the always reliable TMS coverage on and i agree, the big screen system and hawkeye being available for decisions might take the umpire errors (or, god forbid, bias) out of the game, but it does feel a bit plastic and takes some of the luck out of the game.

England's day, but I did hope we could tear into them a little more. A good score, but they were 15-3 at one point.

Problem is the seamers cant bowl for long in that heat, and Sri Lanka are among the best players of spin in the world. Anything less than 300 and I think we'll have had a corker to be honest. They don't have a mystery bowler like Pakistan did with Ajmal so I honestly don't think they will be as much of a threat. I expect Alistair Cook to fill his boots and bat for a day and a half.

Yep, I think Herath comes about as close to someone who can really cause problems (particularly to Pietersen).

I'm glad Malinga only plays limited overs these days.

Been tonked for four sixes in this innings! You can tell Sri Lanka have just played a lot of ODIs

Poor start losing Cook. He's probably the batsman most likely to make a ton at the moment. Strauss and Trott are starting to play with a bit more attacking intent now. If they can get steady, this partnership could be big. I don't see anyone lower down the order picking up the slack really.

3 down. Cook was done by a brilliant bit of bowling, but Herath has two from decent deliveries, but mainly poor decision making from Strauss and Trott. This one looks gone already.

Watched a few of the wickets and highlights from before lunch just now - our boys have been suckered into playing with their one day heads on by the SL's slogging show. We were scoring at a pretty obscene rate, if you didn't count the wickets falling, but it's only day 2, we're already at the crease - why didn't anyone tell them, just sit on it for a day, doesn't matter if it's slow compared to the hurried way the oppo were scoring, let it go at test pace but stay in!

Grrr...

Thank fuck our bowling attack are decent. But even if we get them out with a lead of 250-300, I don't back us with the bat.

Hopefully, hopefully we can get them out before lunch tomorrow, then have 2 whole days to sit and beat the total, without resorting to some of the madness we've seen. Trott and Strauss were unbelievable really.

So what's going on? I switched off the radio when we were bowled out, watched a couple of episodes of Alcatraz and a new Thundercats, check the score and they're 84/5 - i think i might just not tune in tomorrow morning, i'm a jinx

Swann decided to return to form... It's spinning more than it was, so no doubt we'll be out for 50 by close tomorrow

Form is temporary as they say, Swann every day over Monty for me.

I'm watching this on SkyGo while sat at my desk, most expensive no ball from Stuart 'Malfoy' Broad ever
